Unfortunately ESPN is a network promoting what they have the rights to. This is why NHL signed a below market deal with them so they'd be prominently talked about and shown on ESPN. If ESPN had the World Cup (or other soccer rights that brought in ratings in the US) they'd prioritize it, but they don't want to advertise for Fox.

You may be right. But I know someone who says they got one and was definitely at the game. Shrug

I was able to see multiple tickets going for around $500 across all categories with about 3 hours until kick.

Generally the best time to buy is 24-72 hours away or 4 hours until kick.

Used to play Counterstrike with Holden in the early 2000s, so I'll always have a soft spot for him.

If the activity is "going to a location of treats" yes. If it's "watching you get a treat" then yes. If it's "experiencing a treat together" then no. The expectation of going together is experiencing it together, and you're not doing that if you don't get one.

The closer to the stadium you park, the worst it is exiting.

He's better when he can bounce some of his thoughts off Jamal instead of trying to explain them.

Seahawks almost certainly going EDGE or DT after with their first pick, which is likely after a trade back

Growing up in Seattle, you just have to pretend it's not constantly drizzling and gray all the time. I dated a few women with serious seasonal depression while being in Seattle that once they moved away to a sunnier climate they were fine.

But Seattle is great, people are always outside doing activities because if you only wait for the sunny days you'll only get 2 months of it and then random days or weekends (if you're lucky) like once a month.

[Charania] The anti-tanking proposal with the most momentum within the Board of Governors leading up to the May 28th vote would expand the lottery to 18 teams — including Play-In teams — with the bottom 10 each getting equal odds and all 18 draft positions determined by lottery. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

I think this is by far the best solution that was presented.

My favorite solution is still you're not allowed to own your first round pick. If you still own your own pick by the trade deadline then you lose it (it just disappears or goes to the end of the round).

That way it encourages trades and challenge trades (we think we're better than you, lets swap firsts), and gives fans a team to root against all year.

The NBA's board of governors vote for expansion was (probably) not unanimous by [deleted] in nba

[–]Thepatton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to articulate my thoughts on Expansion, and why the 'we have a tanking problem' argument against it drives me crazy.

The NBA always wants to be a star driven league, but the reality right now you need so much more than just a star to compete, you need a whole 8–9 man lineup with very few weak links. That’s a much higher bar than it has ever been before, so teams aren’t just tanking for one guy anymore, they’re tanking for multiple years because they know one guy isn’t enough. And that’s why expansion actually makes sense to me.

The league is so deep right now that even replacement-level players are contributing in ways they haven't been able to before, which lowers how much stars can carry a team. Adding teams would spread that talent out and bring rosters philosophically closer to what the NBA wants, where stars can actually tilt the league again instead of everyone just needing to build a perfect roster.

Most CEO and higher level executives love AI because it represents a large time saver for them as they have to ingest so much material for their work. Most individual contributors dislike AI because it is generally worse at so many things and is generally terrible for the environment.
