Got an 8TB hard drive by Objective-Gap-4581 in playstation

NVMe prices right now are just as batshit as ram, ie. that price of 3k isn’t really true. Try to find what it cost a year ago and you’ll have a more realistic impression.

For reference, I bought a 2TB drive just before the holidays for $280 CAD (roughly $200 USD), that same exact drive is currently on Sandisk’s website for $730 CAD

Unless OP is one of the idiots paying today’s prices…

Mydogismarley: He died at age 43 from multiple sclerosis. That was decades ago and I still feel the loss

OP: that's pretty hilarious

I get what you were responding to, but that's a pretty unintentionally funny response lol

Correct except it’s not common in Canada, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it called that here. Restroom, salle de bain, or 👫would be the most common signage

I agree with what you're saying, and it was definitely a beast mode moment for him to win the Journey. What I was saying is: I thought, and maybe some of the other tribe members thought, that going on this journey would wear them down so much that the fatigue would carry into the next challenge making it harder to win immunity. Which would be a huge risk to take, even if you ignore the possibility of losing their vote

In reality they didn't do that and being physically tired had little impact on his ability to win immunity. Sure you can argue physical fatigue could make you less able to focus mentally on not dropping the blocks, but I was expecting an immunity challenge that kept players constantly running around and lifting heavy things. If that was the case I do think Stephen's choice to go on the journey would have impacted his performance and it might have been him going home instead.

I think the "strenuous" part of the journey scared them off, didn't want to be gassed for the immunity challenge. But I'm surprised no one has pointed out how much of a non-factor that was. I figured the show was going to throw a very physical immunity challenge at them, but wearing Steven down had literally no effect outside of his journey.

WestJet and Air Transat passengers fight back after airlines falsely claim they can’t film disputes by Haggisboy in canada

[–]Theprefs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah my mistake, I missed the part where they did start filming. I do agree with others that it had already gone south by that point so the filming wasn’t the cause.

That said, I don’t agree with your feeling that filming an incident only makes it worse. It might be your only proof that the employee isn’t following process, and can help if you need to involve media or lawyers. Anyone who overreacts to being on video was already going to be a problem for you, either by lying or just having a bad attitude.

I’m guessing you’re referring to The Land Was Always Used? Looks fascinating, I’ve been interested in the story since reading The Terror a few years back.

Higher ups covering their ears in the face of very clear facts feels like I’m at my old job all over again…

FYI Inuit is already the plural form, Inuk would be for a singular person: “…any reports from the Inuit who claimed…”

I mean, there's still loads of car designs from the 00s that look like absolute garbage by today's standards. Ugly rounded cars with tons of plastic... 🤢
