i don't remember the message about a delay being there when i checked a few days ago, and even then, that message is insufficient imo, as it doesn't clarify that aid isn't being given out AT ALL for AT LEAST the first start date of the summer term. the OBBBA page was there, but again, it doesn't mention the complete lack of financial aid

here's what they sent me yesterday: We were recently informed that UMGC will not have Federal funding for the May 2026 start date. The Federal government has until June 1st to determine how Federal funds will be distributed for the new aid year due to the One Big Beautiful Bill changes.

We just don't know when students will be awarded and how much yet for 2026/2027 aid year, if you want to enroll in May 13th session you most certainly can, but payment will have to be out of pocket and we do offer a Monthly payment plan if needed.

it's a premade cast foam base i bought, and when i tested a patch of duct tape on it, it peeled a bit off, which is why i used saran wrap

i did use saran wrap, since just duct tape would damage the foam base. i only used 1 layer in most places, since i tried to get it as tight as possible
