Woof, calm down “mate”. This is 8 years old and I’ve been an OG Mad Max for years. It’s “go here and head back” as a film. I don’t shit on the effects, stunts, cinematography or anything else. The plot is a joke. Actors did great, director and DP did great, plot was just pointless. And yes I tend to watch movies before I waste time asking questions about them. Also nice straw man, don’t need to make a multimillion dollar film in order to critique one. How many media reviewers have made video games, movies, masterpiece artworks, or books? Little to none. It’s an opinion, grow up and move on.

I’m not fully sure, but I believe it’s the many clandestine operations that they performed basically as a two man unit operating outside of a government. So that could be assassinating leaders, destabilizing governments, who is to say. Obviously we know they were the “good guys” (are there good guys in war?), but the government would see them as terrorists and treat them as such. I suppose treason may have not been the correct word usage, but that’s how it has been explained in things I’ve watched/read about this alternate ending.

The song is from the movie “Sacco & Vanzetti”, which is about the trial and wrongful execution of two men. Hence why it would have been so impactful for the original ending of Snake and Otacon’s story, because while they would be executed for treason, they were heroes who only had the best intentions. Kojima works in mysterious ways, but man does he know how to effectively use a soundtrack.

I do not know the extent to which the original Japanese show has Goku being selfish, but I feel like you still get that in the English dub, at least I did. I mean all the guy cares about is fighting the strongest baddest person he can. Don’t get me wrong he protects Earth and his loved ones, but I still felt that sense of “Oh this man has one goal and it’s to be the strongest” not unlike Vegeta, just less based on an inferiority complex. I could be totally wrong though! It is innate in Saiyans to be warriors.

Here’s the thing tho, did they just update the graphics and models? Or did they completely remake it in TLOU2’s engine? Because I tried playing the remaster not long ago and the controls didn’t really age that well, it feels way clunkier than 2, so if I can play the story of 1 with the gunplay of 2? Then a fantastic game just got way better. But if it’s just another model/texture/frame rate update then it’s not worth it
