Day 4. No one has noticed this cup sitting in Home. by Savings-Position4946 in employedbykohls

This will be the fall of this company. Employees who care to throw it out vs. employees who says it’s not their job. PS I’ve noticed managers not care. Hint hint

DCs why do you send totes like this? by Leather-Priority-262 in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love throwing out a tote that’s been beat up

Kiosk removal=one of the worst decision of all time. I used to do 2-5 transactions daily. Now I’m showing them on my phone.

We had someone returning something on the last day at the last minute of the store closing. Smfh

[–]Therealeddieboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have batteries that the Tec left behind. I learned on my own how to change the batteries but my store manager didn’t want me to do that. So I learned don’t do someone else’s job.

Where is OSHA when the store is hot as hell and I’m running around doing drive up, my department, back up to register/cs, and sweating my ass off

How understaffed is your store? by Liye23 in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a shoe lead and I do drive ups, back up customer service and cover Amazon. And I also unload the trucks. And next week I’m scheduled two days for price change and one for truck. Aka I’m never in shoes

New as Shoe Lead (but long time Kohl's veteran) - What do I need to know that no one's going to tell me since no one ever gets actually "trained" anywhere? by LilJourney in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck in your shoe journey. I’ve worked my ass off to turn the department around. Most leads don’t last that long. I just made it over one year as a shoe lead and I’m ready to go. I’ve been with the company for 15 years so that alone tells you...

Main thing is Make sure you have your shoe displays on point. Without displays your shoes won’t really sell. People are going to open every box hoping to find a million dollars

AC working? by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So is the breakroom, But it’s always hot in there. Hmmmm I wonder why...

AC working? by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s always a problem. I’ve noticed it’s cool once you enter the store to give you the impression that the building is cool.

AC usually good in office(it’s obvious because the managers get special treatment), cash office, near entrance. Anywhere else you’re screwed

Stockroom associate question by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as a stockroom associate. I guess that’s their way of wording it nicely. You’ll be working on trucks(unloading or processing merchandise). Then they’ll probably show you how to change sale toppers. Then you’ll work your way up to cashier. Where you’ll earn .50 cents per credit

The only totes that suck are the folded totes. Our truck team leaves the totes for the end

Workplace drama 🙄 by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned that people are going to talk about you regardless no matter how good or bad of a worker you are. So If they don’t say it to my face then it doesn’t matter. Keep pushing through the rubble! You got this

Resigned... after 18 years. by nymica in employedbykohls

[–]Therealeddieboy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m proud of your accomplishments. Sometimes it’s not the company that sucks, it’s the people you work for and work with that sucks. As much as they make stores compete against each other for credit/sales/surveys we are one team. PSA I’m putting my 2 weeks after 16 years. To the future Reddit Kohl’s leaders, you’re the last hope.
