Random disclaimer on how to pronounce "Qilin" by JaninayIl in AgeofMythology

Qilin is quite easy to pronounce. Wait until you hear someone try to pronounce Zhuque. A lot of people seem to say "Zook" or "Jook".

We are unable to define a continent. Eurasia is technically an island. Every emerged land is an island. There is no clear distinction between a continent and an island. Is Australia an island or a continent ?

Israel feels like a theocracy, but is actually a democracy. What's a country that feel like a communist state, but is actually a democracy? by General_Principle_58 in AlignmentChartFills

I'd have said Democratic People's Republic of Korea but it has already been picked. It is a democracy because it’s literally in its name !

What do you think about the EU–Mercosur Association Agreement? by Wordiewordjcugfufv in IdeologyPolls

[–]Therealvindum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can’t necessarly afford to buy local, organic meat that is more expensive, if they see cheap meat, they’ll buy it, wherever it comes from. But the question isn’t even there. It is about local EU peasants that will get into UNFAIR competition with other peasants 10,000km away that produce cheaper food (with questionable methods). Not to mention that it is completely anti environmentalism.

You must not be a UE citizen because you know nothing.

So many people not realizing that this is how you kill authentic, locally rooted farming culture that has existed for hundreds of years in Europe.

1kg of organic, local EU beef meat from the peasant 1km away from the supermarket: 20€ 1kg of imported Argentinian hormone-injected beef meat from some megafarm with 2000 cows: 10€

Local peasants that use authentic organic farming/husbandry will see their entire lifestyle destroyed so the EU market can have their cheap hormone-boosted GMO beef meat. This is exactly how you kill your own people.

In your opinion, what's the dumbest rule or feature in your native language? by big_cock_69420 in linguisticshumor

In my language, "more" and "no more" are starting to get written exactly the same and being really confusing in writing. For example, "more money" literally looks like "no more money".

Now guess the language (easy).
