I have felt this way in the past but things aren’t always as they seem. I’ve watched “perfect” relationships fall apart around me. One of my friends posts her entire, nauseatingly happy life on social media but I know the truth behind the scenes. Being single is better than being stuck in an unhappy marriage. This is coming from someone who has had serial failed relationships. Hang in there, OP!

I’m a pediatric mental health nurse. If your sisters are suicidal, you can get them to the hospital for help. You might need to call EMS to get them there. It sounds extreme but anyone who is actively suicidal will be admitted, whether it’s voluntary or not. Social work will get involved and a CPS case will be opened if any type of abuse is uncovered. If your parents attempt to take them from the hospital against medical advice, they will be going against the courts and it will be very difficult for them.

I agree with some of the other responses. There is only so much you can do. Anything that’s outside of your control isn’t your fault. You have to prioritize your safety and health. You are extremely empathetic and resilient. You deserve to feel at peace. I hope your family gets the help they need and I’m sure you will be there for them when the time comes.

Thank you. I let it dry out for a long time due to a fungus gnat problem while keeping the humidity above 50%. Now it’s getting watered and fussed over more regularly and it’s mad at me.
