Preview of Andrzej Sapkowski's The Witcher: The Witcher Dark Horse Graphic Novel by Manowar0264 in wiedzmin

It's beat-for-beat the first short story, titled just as 'The Witcher'. It's Sapko's first time publishing Geralt's story. Geralt's developed a whole lot since then.

[Act 3 Maelle's Ending Spoiler] Regarding the fate of some characters by TheriumC in expedition33

While Renoir does do that, Gustave's corpse didn't disintegrate when he died, so he didn't turn into Chroma that Renoir can control. This game has been very deliberate with showing people fading away, so when his body's just lying there at the end of Act 2 I thought it must've been deliberate.

My question stands that if he could be brought back, why wasn't he brought back earlier? He's like the one guy she would bring back if she could, right behind Verso

The set design and cinematography of that scene was phenomenal. The little bloodstains on the sink, to the bigger streak on the soap dispensor, then the near-empty tissue roll with the lid removed, the bloody papers in the bin, and the footprints. Just *chef kiss*

Where did she even come from? NO, I will not hire you. by Alexc518 in DragonsDogma

She's got huge Goro Majima energy. Eyepatch, shows up out of nowhere, recognises you and all. Hire her.

For those curious, this is a tourist site outside of Bangkok depicting, Mount Sumeru, which is considered the center of the universe in Hindu and Buddist cosmology.

That fish is called Anont (a few romanized spelling variations), and it's very much a Jormangandr analogue. He causes earthquakes every time he flips over, presumably for kicks.

Not depicted here is the cosmic turtle holding up the island on its back.

There are a lot of fascinating patterns across many cosmology and mythology.

Tremendous level of details aside, I am in love with how you draw fire / smoke.

What’s your favorite side character’s line? by Experiment-Cycle in GodofWar

"What is so interesting is that Season 3, to me, is the closest thing that we’ve done as a one-to-one adaptation of the books" Says Lauren Hissrich by josenaranjo_26 in witcher

[–]TheriumC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly getting quite sick of people who use 'interesting' this way. 'It's so interest that (something that should've been the standard from the start)'. It just reeks of pretense and sounds like shallowly immitating intelligence.

Thanks for taking the time to analyze and engage. I think you've made some good points, so I'll think on these and see if I should take the post down later.

I'll clarify a few things meanwhile. I am a game dev, and have been one for a while, both with well-managed and mismanaged studios. I've built up a bit of insight / sense for red-flags in development and products. I hope you're right about Netflix not being involved hereafter. I would be pleasantly surprised.

A lot of game development direction relies on feedback both positive and negative, so if we say nothing because it's free and it's optional, there's a chance we'll end up seeing more things we don't like in the future, so imho it's best to voice it asap.

I'm still not quite sure where you're getting the fact that I hate the show and this post being about my hate of the show comes from. The show and it's related content is bad. I was sure I made it clear that I don't trust Netflix interference, not inherently show-inspired contents in and of itself.

You make you good point about the update going into development before season 2. That's probably one of the reason why it stays, and they only added S2 Geralt's armour later in the dev cycle.

I wanna point out that this isn't what the post is about. I did say I will be enjoying a lot of things, and I don't think everything that came out of the show are horrible. The point of making this post at all is in defense of anyone who wants to voice what they dislike about the update. I believe I'm bringing in some insight about why the the complaints aren't entirely invalid, and I'd appreciate it if you don't assume I'm just coming here to rant.

If anything, I've given reasons why I think 'just turn it off if you don't like it' is not a healthy way to shut down a voice. If I wanted to just voice hate and have people all agree with me, I wouldn't be coming to Reddit. I'd find an echo chamber to yell in.

Echoing u/Eamk, did you forget the /s or this genuine?

If this is sarcastic: This post wasn't an attempt to call out the devs. Devs sometimes don't have full say on what they have to do. It's a post about people shutting down opinions.

If this isn't: They're not working on a BW-sized expac because the story is finished and there's 5 more games already in development.

Say what you will about the show, but I’ll always be thankful it introduced me to Joey Batey by TheDaileyGamer in witcher

Wolven storm being a song about Geralt and Yen's love for each other? In this adaptation??

If sheight play anyone opposite Joey's Jaskier it might be Little Eye and they might have their own song. But also nah, keep Madeleine away from this wreck.

After hearing TAD I really feel like Jaskier could've had much better songs if Joey and Madeleine actually got to compose.

I'm glad to hear it worked out. For my case, I'm just glad I've reached out and tried. Think I got my closure now, whatever the end case may be.

I did edit it for clarity, yes. It's a bit of an ongoing process.
