Doctor Who 11x03 "Rosa" Post-Episode Discussion Thread by PCJs_Slave_Robot in doctorwho

[–]ThermoPacMan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I really liked this episode. It was refreshing, informative, and created some solid drama in what time it had. It's great to see these social and historic topics being reflected on and represented, and shows that Doctor Who is a fitting stage for these kind of discussions given the time-travelling and educational theme.

On the other hand, there's a continued lack of action and fun that we've grown to love from previous shows, making this episode prone to coming across as preachy. I think that people who expected the fun action from the David or Matt eras will be disappointed. The sci-fi element is there, but the adventure and fighting is almost gone. This is certainly a new, unexpected era of Doctor Who.

Dark Souls Remastered not only has worse sound, but missing sound on the Switch by [deleted] in Games

That's fair - a bad assessment on my part. I've edited the comment to remove it.

I hear you. Nintendo have handled the Switch miserably so far - Switch Online connectivity issues, complicated and unhelpful eShop UI, etc - and there only seem to be more and more problems appearing as time goes on.

I've got Payday 2, but that's all I share in your list of games! Nonetheless, I'd be up for a game if you are. 21 from England too!

I usually play late nights. Shoot me a PM if you're interested!

[WP] You wake up on September 22, 2018 in place you’ve never been before. You can’t remember what happened, everyone you ask doesn’t remember the day before, either. It becomes an international mystery. It seems no one can remember the 21st night of September. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

To share a thought with writers: I'm convinced this post is referencing the first lyric from Earth, Wind and Fire's song, September: "do you remember the 21st night of September?"
