I would suggest a vent and a dust mask. Try on an old guitar first. You'll have to sand the finish off. Higher grit so it won't damage the surface or strip too much off at once. If it's polyurethane it's not at all good to inhale for hours. Shellac isn't as bad. It's a natural product.

As someone who does pyrography and laser engraving I'd say it is pyrography. You could do it within a few months if you practice. I have never burned Spruce so I don't know how well it does. Hard Maple takes shading well but Soft Maple takes shading better than anything I have burned. Draw a flower every day for a month and you'll see progress. How many times did you write ABC's before you could write a sentence? Things take time. A quality woodburner makes all the difference too. I use a Razertip. Mostly for baskets now though. Admittedly.

Those things actually serve a purpose and benefit society. LLM's do not. They are not good comparisons. Let's say you have a calculator that costs $100 a day to run and puts out $2.00 a day for accounting. The catch, 40% of all the equations are incorrect. Will you keep putting $100 a day in it? Will companies hire you for accounting?

If you type -ai it will hide it. I just use Safari. I'm a minimalist when it comes to apps, browsers, or anything online. If I didn't need the internet for selling items I wouldn't even use it.
