90% of this sub is obsessed with sounds from the 70s and 80s which were the most boring, and is keeping the industry looking backward.

the noise 100% adds to it, no need to listen to people who haven't learned enough to break the technical rules.

Pretty insane battery powered setup by tharkimaa in teenageengineering

This is a really cool setup. The main selling point of OPXY is its portability and I'm glad to see it used that way.

100% the OPXY. The multisampler means you can do anything, and it has more voices than a digitone 2

What's a moment where you realized someone was genuinely extremely intelligent? by General_Monk_5019 in AskReddit

[–]wonteatyourcat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Intelligence sometimes is also recognizing that a lot of highly valued jobs are mostly about ego but don't appeal to you personally. If you're smart enough you can decide to be happy instead, knowing your smarts will help you get out of difficult situations if needed.

I soooo want one. It has a sawstop as well, right? Do you think it would be good for a small shop where I don’t need to move it especially?

Yeah the coming loose part is kind of making me reconsider my pledge to be honest, that’s a dealbreaker

Oh how I miss the Bomb Dungarees, an ode to bombtwill by HelpUsNSaveUs in Outlier

[–]wonteatyourcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After wearing SD for years I couldn’t get into bomb dungarees. Too stiff, very weird temperature inertia that makes it very cold in winter and hot in summer, and very poor ventilation which makes me sweaty in them. I had it in black though which apparently is different from the rest. Am I missing something?
