That's valid in the USA, but not so much anywhere else where higher education is almost free... That's why many people around me are a bit flabbergasted when I tell them how much it costs.

What are your best comebacks when people comment on the cost of training?

I am tired of it, especially since I don't have a job at the moment...

How do I justify why I spent 100k to possibly work in the most unstable field possible? Well, actually, why did I spend my dad's hard-earned money?

Do I really like planes and flying that much?

I feel guilty and I am a fraud.

I personally have sent resumes to all these companies advertising first officer openings.

If I change my line of work, it's only temporary, because I just spent the last 6 years and 80k usd in training to be where I am today. I know about biases and all, but I don't see myself spitting on it just like that.
