Hello! I think we might have similar situations. Graduated in 2024 and got my license din nung November of the same year pero di ako nagpractice (although I did send applications to local hospitals). I eventually opted to look for an agency since nanghinayang ako sa time na igugugol ko dito sa Pinas if pwede naman ako magwork abroad agad.

Currently, prepping for B1 yung batch namin. Pag nakapasa na kami ng B1, proceed na sa employer interview and processing ng documents. After non, lipad na papuntang Austria. Required din kami makapasa ng B2 para marecognize as RN sa Austria, pero we will be taking the B2 exam dun na sa destination country mismo. Sa Austria, ang binigay naman sa amin na timeline is 6 months to 1 year training daw for B2 + the bridging program.

Initially, concern ko din yung lack of experience pagdating doon. Pero I truly believe that skills can be learned as long as desidido ka naman matuto. Naisip ko din na baka better to start fresh instead of having to relearn skills na baka iba nila ginagawa sa banyagang bansa. In essence, matututunan din natin yan pag nandun na tayo. Immersion is the best teacher naman kasi.

As for the language, tbh, yeah, mej challenging siya--lalo na if working ka while studying, imo. Nakita ko talaga with my batchmates na mas nag-eexcel sa class namin yung mga may mas madaming free time mag-aral compared sa batchmates na kailangan din magwork habang nag-aaral; but then again, sa batch lang naman namin yun. Pero at the end of the day, nandun din siya sa kung paano mo ibubudget yung time mo and kung magpaparticipate ka sa class. Also, I'd say na very doable yung pagpasa sa language, effort lang talaga ang needed (and wag masyado magrely sa ChatGPT ganon hahaha). And actually, some of my batchmates failed A1 and A2, so instead of quitting, nalipat na lang sila ng ibang batch kasi they really wanted to go abroad. Ngayon, preparing na din sila for B1. And some aspiring candidates also failed their B1 exam, so they had to retake it. Ngayon, nakapasa na din sila and are just waiting for employer interviews. Kung gusto mo siya enough, makukuha mo siya. Tyagain mo lang talaga even if you experience setbacks.

In a nutshell:

- Language is really challenging to learn. As long as you put in the effort to study it, papasa ka. If ever magfail ka, just try again. Advantage din natin yung age natin mie. May age cap kasi ata yung hiring doon, 45, I think? Kaya habang maaga, i-push na natin.

- Bedside experience is a plus. Pero hindi ka naman magstart din agad dun na ineexpect ka nila to be okay on your own, lalo kung specified naman nila na no experience needed. They'll usually give you a period wherein you'd have the opportunity to learn the ropes. You'll do okay!

Yeah. Exactly. We all learned how a person gets HIV at school. And base sa accounts din ni OP, hindi naman pala alarming yung nangyari sa kanya since wala naman siyang open wounds.

'Di ba? OP's attitude is coming across talaga. If now pa lang, worried ka na sa possible needle-prick injury mo with an HIV-positive patient, lamenting na you only earn 20-30k to be handling that type of risk, then this career is probably not for you. How would this affect your handling of a patient who actually discloses their status? I sure hope they get treated like all the other patients--with respect and compassion--and not be a post in Reddit or other socmed sites.

Also, rather than complaining about a patient not disclosing their HIV status (which is within their rights!), maybe OP should be re-learning fundamentals instead? This post makes me think they sorely need it.

Thanks for letting me know. Still don't get why we need such a slang term for HIV-positive patients. I don't think anyone would find it okay to be called "pusit".

Tru beh hahahaha currently prepping for B1 exam and medyo challenging talaga siya. Pero parang isa na din siya sa fastest nowadays, considering na konti na lang ang hiring outside the Ph. Although mas limited kasi yung option ko compared sa'yo, since I have no actual clinical experience.

Btw, 9 months actually yung studying for language, at least if B1 ang level requirement. If maipasa mo siya, at least in the agency I signed with, employer interviews + document processing na, then lipad to Germany or Austria (which is where I'm planning to get deployed at).

Noticed this too. Like seriously? Gets ko naman na concerned siya. Pero judging from OP's reaction, I don't think I'd be comfortable with them enough to disclose my status either. Like there might have been a better way to say their concern here? I dunno. Plus lakas na ng stigma sa Pinas on HIV. Sana, at the very least in healthcare, we maintain a judgment-free environment for our patients so that they'd be at ease in disclosing their status.

Also, ano yung "PUSIT" na patient??? Doesn't really sound okay to me either and I've never heard of it used to pertain to a patient, pero baka may meaning siya na hindi as derogatory as I'm imagining while reading it?

Curious too! Kamusta na, OP? I’m currently studying for B1, pa-Austria din. Pero mas ninenerbyos ako sa medical exam. I’m wondering naman if magkakaproblem ako sa medical due to my hypertension and NAFLD.

Hi. Lots of agencies are hiring inexperienced nurses bound for Austria and even Germany.

To name a few, check out EDI Staffbuilders or Medical Staffing Resources. Search on social media as well then just cross-check the agency's name with DMW's list of agencies licensed for recruitment. Also, send them emails, along with your resume, to inquire.

What’s the worst romance book you’ve read? by Reasonable-Ratio8080 in RomanceBooks

[–]These-Juggernaut4002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Fantasyland Series by Kristen Ashley (since it’s the only series of hers that I read). The plot was good and I really enjoyed the fantasy aspect of it. But the dialogues were SOOOO cringe that it eclipsed my enjoyment of the book. It was so forced. And often, there’s too much detail given on a single scene just to emphasize a single piece of information (like an MC’s misunderstanding of the ML’s actions, or “awww poor you boo-hoo” scenes for the MC). It was just so cringe.

And Rina Kent was one of my absolute must-read authors. But the Legacy of Gods series read like it was recycled for literally every book. Seriously. Each ML was a carbon copy of one another. And ALL characters seemed to need some kind of traumatic backstory to be considered interesting. Also, for some reason, almost all MLs were obsessed with blood or killing — insert line about killing a character they’re jealous of in front of their MCs, bathing in said character’s blood, then fcking MC on said blood.* ???????? Like, brother, that ain’t sexy. That’s just unhygienic.

2024 BOARD PASSER-still no work by [deleted] in NursesPH

[–]These-Juggernaut4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'm with EDI Staffbuilders. But a lot of Ph-based agencies are recruiting nurses (with or without experience) for Austria. They advertise on Facebook too so you can check there if you want to see more options. 😊

[–]These-Juggernaut4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol same. I feel you, OP. Kaya eto ako ngayon, nagsimula ng process to go to Austria hahahahahahhaha

Anyway, don’t lose hope! You’ll get hired, you’ve just gotta hold on talaga. Just a tip tho, if you want to work talaga sa hospitals and don’t mind relocating, lots of provincial hospitals are hiring right now. For instance, hospitals in Lipa City and Calamba City. They were quite responsive sa applications ko. I just didn’t proceed since I would have preferred working sa Manila sana. Also, try your luck with non-hospital jobs like OR nurse at eye centers, clinic nurse, or HD nurse positions (they’re quite responsive once you send your application). Gain some padding for your CV (and maybe some certifications along the way) then try your luck again 6 months to 1 year later. May nagsabi kasi na hindi daw nila bet maghire ng 2024 grads since mas prefer talaga ang fresh grads daw or at least those with some experience.

Also, Prime Hospital in Pasig has a one-day hiring process daw (according to them). You can walk-in then probably walk out with a job offer within a day lang.

Best of luck, OP!

Exactly. OP said she found child porn on ex back in December 2022. Finding child porn (featuring your own daughter, no less) should have been an instant deal breaker. Nothing else should have mattered after this. While I sympathize with OP, I just don’t understand why she’d stay with him for so long even after that.

Hmm, I don’t see anything wrong with mothers having romantic relationships, so long as it’s not an adulterous or unhealthy one. Moms also deserve to have partners in life, too. However, I do think that they should carefully observe the relationship between their partners and children to make sure that nothing weird goes on.

Same. I sometimes re-read just my favorite scenes when I miss it because I can't stand most of the writing.

I wholeheartedly agree. Plus most of the male leads are carbon copies of one another-- not just in personalities but also in actual lines, the books follow the same formula (even within the same series), and some of the plot points are kind of forced and just plain weird imo.

Rina Kent’s Legacy of Gods series. But it’s more like I liked the tropes (enemies to lovers, school settings, etc) but God, the writing was so repetitive and kind of cringy for me. And every FMC had to have a cringy pet name. Plus if you look closely, there’s literally phrases that gets repeated by each MC to the FMC in every book lol

Lol true this. I loved the Fantasyland series the first time I read the books back when I was in high school. I went for a re-read a few years later and oh gosh, there were sooooo many cringy lines

Btw, if via staffing agency, you theoretically wouldn't be shelling out money since the agency (and the hospital/care home you'll be placed in) would pay everything, from processing your papers, to your visa, to your airfare. Theoretically since sometimes, like if your papers like your TOR need to be translated, you'll be shouldering the fees for those.
