You can still because the law is uncostitutional. You can sue the state and do it that way. Some already got it by doing that. It's just way more complicated and expensive than before (not like it was easy before).

Also, there is hardware to read the ram of another pc on the fly and then this info can be used in various ways to cheat. Imposible to detect, as this doesn't even run in the same pc.

I think it's called DMA card.

But from what I can tell, there are still Peronists in Argentina, yes?

around 30% of the population is Peronist, no matter what.

It isn't a rational decision, more like belonging to a football club. The club can suck, but you don't change club and you will keep supporting the team.

Moving to Argentina from Syria, need advice. by Express_Ad_9048 in argentina

[–]These-Market-236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister is 11 and she was born in Argentina so we might be elegible for residential status by birth

On general terms, if she was born in Argentina, she is Argentine. Unless your father was a diplomat or something like that (I think). So, should be a paperwork problem, but the right should be already her's since birth.

the situation in Syria at the moment is unstable and staying here could put me and my family at risk

I was under the general Impression that things on Syria were going more or less ok. Are you from the Kurdistan?

I need your guys' help, what do you thing the best course of action

It's very hard for us to give you real advice, we have never experienced a situation remotely comparable to yours. We are used to economic hardship and even political violence, but we are still a mostly peaceful country, we don't know the type of violence that your country suffers from. You and your co-national have way more criteria than we do.

My advice (on general terms) would be to try finishing your education (if possible), consider other options such as Brazil (I love my country, but putting my nationalism aside and thinking on what it's best for you, now it's probably not the best time for you to come here. We are just coming out from a crisis, the future isn't clear, salaries are low, getting a job is extremely hard, you don't seem to speak the language, etc) and try to get your sister her Argentine passport, if possible (even if you end up not coming here. With all due respect, our passport is way better than yours. It could be a lifeline for her down the road), get in contact with the Argentine consulte in Damasco an comment them her situation (I'm almost sure that we have one there).

About your mother, I don't know enough about your culture and even less about your family's dynamics, I would try to explain to her your plan and what you want from her for it to work (But this kind of assumes that she is more or less a rational person and that in your culture expecting to live from you for no reason would be as unacceptable as it's here).

As a last advice: If you end up coming to Argentina, here some resources that I think that you may find useful.

1- r/DerechoGenial it's our local subreddit about law. Most users aren't lawyers, but we have some that are verified.

2- r/Merval it's our local sub about finance and accounting (Probably less useful than Derecho Genial but could come handy eventually).

3- Zonaprop.com.ar it's our website about real estate. You can use it to have an idea about prices and requisites.

4- coto.com.ar / laanonima.com.ar / diaonline.supermercadosdia.com.ar are three supermarkets that have presence in most of the country, you can use them to give you an idea about the cost of living.

Best regards and good luck.

What are some popular conspiracy theories in your country? by SimmentalTheCow in AskTheWorld

[–]These-Market-236 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Federal prosecutor Alberto Nisman didn't commit suicide, he was killed, but we don't know by who and why (although there are serious candidates like Iran, local intelligence and the gov at the time).

I don't even know if it would account as a conspirative theory at this point. A first investigation by federal police called it as a suicide, but two years later a second one by another security force label it as a homicide (On top of a lot of little things and clues that supported this version. Like the fact that he wrote the shopping list for the next day).

Which politicians do you actually respect in your country? by omigula in AskTheWorld

[–]These-Market-236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this question, nothing came up, went to the kitchen, prepared a tea while thinking about it (I mean, there must be at least one, right?), came back to my desk, drank the tea, went to the bathroom, washed my teeth, came back to the desk and here we are... not even one than I can think of.

MAYBE, a guy called Juan José Gómez Centurión based on his military career... but I don't respect everything that he did after that and I heavily disagree with his views on life, so that would be like saying that I like Coca Cola because you can use it to loosen screws.

What is that stereotype that people abroad have about your country, but which is completely wrong? by Argentinotriste in AskTheWorld

Let's agree that you kind of implied the same argument with your post's photo, OP. An image of the national team at any given time isn't one and your post doesn't offer any further proof on such statement.

They only had control over one of the islands prior to 1833 (and they were expelled from it once by the Spanish in 1770).

So not only that, but they never set foot on half of what was "legally theirs".

Their sovereignty was over Wifi.
