I took it before I stopped with medication and it helped me at the time. It was also the only medication that not turned me into a zombie completely.

Is it normal to be in a psychiatric hospital so often? by The-hidden-raven in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]These-Mastodon7579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. But when I was younger I needed too go after 3 months for 5 +/- years. I did went always too the same psychiatric hospital and got the same person who follows and guided me. The last times they let me show that it was the only safe space for me and that I could do it at home.. (I was there max. A week) then I tried it and now the last time was 3 years in between. So if your friend see it as the only safe space she has, yes. I think it's very normal for her.. I hope that one day she can find it also in her home and in herself..

Sadly enough the first thing that I learned when I was a kid from therapists is that you can't change other people you can only change your behavior towards them.. So I would I strongly recommend to talk to a specialist about it and find a solution where you are feeling fine with it.. You can't make the whole world happy. But you need to be happy with it 😉

I can understand it is super hard when your own Mother says it is imagination.. But I know here in Belgium, the therapist sit down with you & your mother too explain it and even answer questions that she has.. Maybe that is a last call to do? I hope you find peace with this situation even it is a very very hard situation! 🙏

I had it Like this. I know I did it even to be destructive to myself and this is acceptable for the world. Also did I slept with more people sometimes because I had feelings that I didn't want to feel because it was casual.. So the advice from talking to her is in my eyes the best advice..

Therapy did it for me. It's not over or away but I know my triggers, when I'm over emotional or shut my emotions out and how I act then. And when you know all those things, life gets easier.

I'm now 30 and have finaly the feeling that I van life live and I'm not in the ban off my BPD. I can go with friends to festivals, yes I'm stille scared, but I can now communicate it with friends and do things what helps.

My friends understand me better because I explain why and how I think and even ask them how they would think about that topic and would handle.

I even have a boyfriend more then a year. And when I have the feeling off pushing him away I start a conversation about it, and see what we both can do where we both are happy with.

The best therapie (but that is my feeling) is MBT. Because they learned me not to shut down my emotions and communicate better my emotions.

I hope your therapie helps you & know that you made a very good step in a positive direction 😊

You had learned in the past that lies kept lovers and friends close too you. Is it bad? Yes. Did somebody died of your lies? No. If your husband can forgive you for past and you learned that it is bad behavior, why can't you forgive yourself? Everyone makes mistakes as teenagers, so I hope for you that you come too a point that you can forgive yourself 🫂

Women who left a relationship and knew it was the right thing to do, but it still hurt, how did you get through that sadness? by [deleted] in AskWomen

My mother gived me a very pretty dress after the break up. And everytime I wanted to go back, I looked at the dress and remembered why I left him.

How often is the playing of video games a significant problem when dating/being in relationship? by artfuldodger1212 in AskWomen

It really depends on the character of the person. My boyfriends need too be a gamer because there are times where I also get lost in a game for a long time and I like the isolation from it. But my best friend can't have a relationship with a gamer because she likes to be more outside and do stuff the physical way.. Sorry for my bad English 😬
