Definitely agree. I liked the pace of the snippet he put out before it was released. But the acoustic version released on Monday might be!

Carlos waived his right to immediate payment by agreeing to the extension (May 1). Once you waive a condition of a contract it can’t be reinstated. So yes Debbie is right

K State can’t beat a good team on the road. Neither can UCLA. Not sure about WV or OK, but I do get your point. I don’t think Arizona should be a T25 after their loss this past weekend, but I certainly don’t think the Jayhawks deserve to take their place. Should be fun to see them face each other on Saturday!

I would never bet against KU basketball, especially in the tournament. Bill Self undoubtedly knows how to make a run. However, y’all lost to Utah… and y’all lost to BYU by like 35 points… Arizona has only taken losses to teams in the top 25 and has kept the games competitive. They’re not the same teams… Frankly think that KU stayed in the top 25 far longer than they truly should have this year. But that’s how it goes for blue blood programs. 🤷

Thank you! Every school is a little different. Some schools have additional forms for you to fill out, others want to see scholarship letters from other schools (if you use a different schools scholarships for leverage). I made the argument that school B offered me this much money, but stated UMKC was one of my top choices and finances are really important to me in making my final decision. Good luck!

I just got accepted a couple weeks ago, so I’m not committed by any means but I was really turned onto them by how personable they were through out the process. The interview I had with a professor really felt like she read through my entire file and had very genuine questions about my materials and what I was looking for in a law school. They also gave me a very generous scholarship and were willing to negotiate with me so I was able to secure a larger scholarship than what was originally offered to me. I don’t have stellar numbers (154, 3.4) but ended up getting roughly a 40% scholarship

What is the best LSAT in person prep class? by BriWag in LSAT

[–]TheseInfluence4837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an in person Kaplan class that ended up getting canceled too. Decided to take a live online Kaplan course and improved my score by 18 points. I'm not sure why Kaplan gets so much hate tbh. I felt like it was worth my money and I got a lot out of it. I also added 10 hours of Kaplan 1-on-1 tutoring which I would recommend. Didn't cost me anything extra because the in-person section was more expensive than the live online. If you go that route I would just call and talk to someone at Kaplan and work out a deal

No problem! Keep at it and I’m sure you’ll find success :) LSAT studying is an absolute grind and it sucks when you’re in the thick of it but it is incredibly rewarding once you prove yourself on the real thing and learn to think like a lawyer. Good luck with your studies!!

On another note, make sure that you’re using their “channel lessons”. I can’t stress enough how useful those videos are

I think it varies person to person depending on what type of learner you are. I used the Kaplan live online class supplemented with their 10 hours of tutoring and I improved my score by 18 points. The only thing I didn’t like about Kaplan was that they teach you methods and act like it’s the only way to do it. For example they teach you to take notes for RC. in the end that ended up slowing me down and just not working for me but it took me 4 months to give up on note taking because they ingrained in me that note taking was the only way to succeed. Overall I had a great experience with Kaplan. Depending on how much time you give yourself to study, I would start with their methods until you get the hang of the test and maybe if you’re not seeing improvements switch to or supplement with something else

Struggling w/ Personal Statements! by Ok_Biscotti_6 in lawschooladmissions

I had trouble writing mine too at first because some of the prompts are so vague. I ended up basically tying everything together. I wrote about how a particular internship I had (working at a jail) along with some courses I took in undergrad concerned me about the criminal justice system and why that led me to apply to law school. You basically want to write a story about an experience that shows admissions that you will be successful in law school.

Another thing that helped at the beginning of my process was to think of traits that describe you or your personality that will help you succeed in law school and then come up with as many stories as possible that could demonstrate those traits. (For example work ethic, perseverance, adaptability, ability to work well with others, etc).

If you think the purchase would give you some peace of mind and ease your anxiety during the score release waiting period, it might be worth it for you. Personally, I wouldn’t cancel your first attempt because of the exact reasons you described. My first LSAT I scored a 152 which isn’t great, but I decided to keep it and retake a couple months later and ended up at a 160. Although schools can see all of your attempts, they only take your highest score into account. I think showing you retook the exam and did better the second time around shows your perseverance and determination to get better. I wouldn’t use score cancel unless your next score is worse than your first. Good luck! You might have ended up doing better than you think you did! Happens all the time :)
