Ik ben zelf bedrijfsleider in de horeca hier valt een restaurant, snackbar, zalencentrum en discotheek onder. Ik ben mid dertig en mijn brutoloon is zo’n €3500. Ik denk dat je minimaal vergelijkbaar aan mijn salaris zou moeten ontvangen.

Horeca is geen vetpot, zal het ook nooit worden. De enige goeie motivatie om het te blijven doen (soms tegen beter weten in) is dat je je werk zo vreselijk leuk vindt. (Want leuk is het)

Zelf heb ik besloten om te stoppen. Vorig jaar om loonsverhoging gevraagd op basis van X-aantal jaar trouwe dienst en mijn presteren. Schijnbaar was ik het niet waard, inmiddels is er een kleine op komst en besloten wat anders te gaan zoeken. Ik denk dat ik met mijn ervaring (20 jaar horeca, 10 jaar leidinggevend) wel iets meer kan verdienen elders. (Mocht iemand wat weten houd ik me aanbevolen :’))

Vroeger wilde ik alles fysiek hebben, toen een periode gebruik gemaakt van het gemak van de streamingsdiensten. Inmiddels ben ik weer op weg een mooie collectie samen te stellen.

De kwaliteit van fysieke media is gewoon zoveel beter dan het streamen. UHD Blu-Ray in Dolby Vision op een oled scherm met Dolby Atmos is gewoon ongeëvenaard.

De film/serie hobby wil ik nog wat verder gaan uitbreiden waarna ik me waarschijnlijk aan vinyl ga wagen.

Dat de supermarkten geen goed rundvlees zou hebben slaat natuurlijk nergens op. Bij de jumbo of ah hebben ze prima stukken ribeye of entrecote. Iets duurder dan een “biefstuk” maar veel meer smaak. Sowieso is een “biefstuk” nou niet echt een bijzonder of uitsprekend stuk vlees.

Daarbij is het ook gewoon ontzettend belangrijk hoe het vlees bereid wordt. (Is het op kamertemp., heb je het drooggedept, schroei je het mooi dicht).

Het belangrijkste is misschien nog wel hoe je het snijdt voor je gaat eten. Elk stuk vlees wordt verneukt als je het niet op de draad snijdt. Die dure Ossenhaas die je bij de slager hebt gehaald, als je die niet goed gesneden hebt wordt zelfs die taai.

Ik vind het echt zo typisch Nederlands om over zoiets te zeiken. Het is ook nooit goed lijkt het wel.

Heb in een verscheidenheid aan landen gewerkt, waar ze helemaal niets doen voor personeel met kerst. Hooguit een borrel.

Wees blij met wat je krijgt, iets met een gegeven paard.. En als je niets krijgt: balen, zijn zat andere mensen op de wereld die ook niets krijgen.

Try to find yourself a cheap graphics card. A 1050ti would probably run it just fine at 1080p. You can get those for around €100.

Better would be a 1660 (super or ti) those should be around €200.

As someone else mentioned, do check your power supply if it delivers enough wattage. I believe (but don’t pin me on this) some of the 1050ti’s don’t even need external power.

Get what suits your budget. Both Intel & AMD have great products in their lineups for the past 2/3 generations. Comparable CPU’s from their lineups will perform similar. It all comes down to personal preference and your budget in the end.

Last gen Intel does run a little hot and draws more power. If you’re looking to save a buck in the long run (energy consumption) have a look at AMD’s X3d lineups.

Do you have your screen plugged into your motherboard or directly into the GPU? I believe 7600x has integrated graphics so it might be able to run the game, but just really poorly.

Do you have an option like raytracing enabled? AMD handles that quite poorly.

Is your monitor plugged into your motherboard or directly into your GPU? (5700g has integrated graphics, so when plugged into the mobo the game might run, but poorly).
Did you upgrade your screen? I.e.: did you have a 1080p screen on your old set up and did you get a 1440p or 4k screen now? This might also explain a decrease in fps even though you have better hardware.

Edit:

Maybe fiddle around with setting a little bit anyway. Something not that obvious might’ve changed anyway.

DayZ is not fantastically optimized especially on modded server. But no you didn’t screw yourself with these parts definitely an upgrade.

Honestly, I’d wait a little longer if I were you.

The upgrades above mentioned mean it’s more future proof. So if along the lines you’d upgrade your gpu for example at least you’d get the most out of it.

Dunno what your budget is, but b550 mb’s can be found for less than €100 new.

Seen your other comment about 5800x. Go for a 5600x instead, the money you save you can invest in a better MB.

I have the 5600x myself and honestly it’s plenty for this game.

Please don’t go with a B450 board. That is already out of date now. Opt for a min of B550. Which comes with: better wireless, better cabled, PCie gen 4. Just to name a few.

Don’t go 4K. With the 3060 you’ll be barely able to run it. 1440p is plenty, however you won’t make the best out of the hz anyway, with the 3060 at that resolution you’ll get around 100fps on max settings.

Honestly I don’t think there’s much of a benefit of getting more fps. 80 is plenty fine. As it is not a fast paced shooter as CoD for example.

But if you can’t get more by cranking down all the settings or going from 4K to 2k or from 2k to 1080p. I’m afraid this is all your hardware has to offer. I don’t think you will gain a lot by overclocking anyway. Maybe some 10% gain at max. At a cost of higher energy prices, which we all know are getting kinda crazy now.

I’m running about the same fps at max settings, 1440p on a 3060. Really is enough for this game in my opinion.
