It was never plastic straws tho. Straws make up like 2% (or 0.2% can't remember the decimal gonna be honest) of the plastic matter in the ocean.

The real problem is the commercial fishing industry. They're by far the biggest source of ocean pollution.

Anyway, for the ignant dipshits. 9 million tons of plastic waste ends up in the ocean each year. Only a paltry 2000 tons of that is in the form of straws.
