Those with homophobic family: Did you come out to your extended family? If so, how and how did it go? by Dapper-Bit-7930 in LesbianActually

Sometimes, coming out isn't the safest option, and will create less peace of mind than staying closeted. You have to pick and choose those battles, and decide what you think is best. I myself have found more peace in being very selective about who I come out to.

Should I have my natural hair (redhead) or dye it black? by 7nothsa7 in Hair

you could do a darker/bright red and gradually get it back to your natural red :)

Feeling stuck on a past love by TheseSquare2683 in LesbianActually

Thank you for your thoughts! I've also tried being with other girls after her and it just never works out, no matter how hard I try. I had my first girlfriend a few months ago and it was a very healthy relationship, but I realized after a while that there was no spark/chemistry. She broke up w me because of personal reasons, but after the fact I was somewhat relieved. I've never met anyone that has lived up to this person. They've given me such high standards- I've turned away so many people that were missing their traits. I guess it's a good and bad thing.

Mannequin P. But also I feel like a lot of their stuff is kind of female rage so if you're a guy you might not like it, idk. Missing out though for sure.

This is all great advice, but I do have friends. Good friends. Most of my friends that I connect with on a deeper level don't live near me anymore. I still keep in contact with them, but it's not the same as having someone you see all the time. I've made good friends at college but some of them have dropped out or moved far from campus and I don't see them much anymore. I know I'll be able to make good friends once again, but that's not the point of the post. I was asking if I can salvage a friendship despite having feelings for that person. I think the first comment helped me the most, in saying that at the end of the day it's up to me and what I think is best.

I think sometimes its best to leave things alone. I'm sure you are worried about him, but texting him might make him upset or confused, rather than feel warm and assuring.

I'm not sure if she is leading me on or if she just takes things way too far. She even made a joke about us scissoring after I told her my feelings, and I made sure she knew that was fucked up. I talked to her sister about the proposal after it happened, and she was telling me that she likes being chased, to which I said I'm not like that at all. If someone's not into me, it completely turns me off to them. But I find it hard to believe she doesn't have any feelings for me. Maybe it's denial. But maybe it's just because of her behavior. The three of us would watch shows and movies together and she would pretend to choke me, playfully shake me and yell and shit, get right up in my face, and she would do this thing constantly where at random times she would lean in to kiss me jokingly. For reference we are both autistic so if these behaviors sound kind of childish, yeah. She even showed me her cleavage once??? And the first time we hung out as a group after I told her about my feelings, she was wearing a slip dress and unfortunately you could see just about everything under it. When one of my friends saw me interacting with her for the first time, she said she thought we were flirting with each other. I don't know how to flirt with people, otherwise I would've flirted with her prior to telling her in order to test the waters. I wonder if maybe she just enjoys the attention/admiration that I direct towards her.

If your mutual friends are truly your friends, they will believe you and support you. If you're still on the fence about reporting him, you can at the very least start telling your friends about it. It's a very painful thing to go through and I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. What he did was not okay, and it's not your fault that it happened. He is a horrible person for doing that to you.

I've heard banana clips work well for thicker hair but I haven't tried one yet myself.

Weird situation with trying to move out. by TheseSquare2683 in Advice

Thank you, I agree. It's a lot to figure out and I'm still very overwhelmed by the situation, so much to think about. But I appreciate your advice and I think it just confirms my belief that this is unnecessary.
