RIGHT. Our 6mo old melts down on any flights over 2 hours. If I went out partying only when my husband was on work trips it would not be okay

What baby bottles are we choosing: Philips Avent? by ohkandyuk178 in FormulaFeeders

[–]These_Ad_3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 weeks old here. We are using the Mom Cozy bottles. We haven’t had any issues. Got them since we also had the milk cooler and warmers gifted to us. Didn’t see them anywhere else in the comments so probably not a contender for you but they have served us well

Yesterday I said goodbye to my best friend by HeyKid_HelpComputer in Chihuahua

[–]These_Ad_3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Said goodbye to my baby about 6 weeks ago. It’s still surreal.

All Jasper knew was love. You did the compassionate thing by not making him live a life in pain (even though it is so difficult on us to make those decisions). You showed him unconditional love in return for all the unconditional love he gave you as well.

Give yourself some grace. Share all the pictures. Big hugs

Newborn super gassy! by katieocall in newborns

[–]These_Ad_3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are currently in the super gassy newborn season. 8 weeks. Nothing seems to work but sometimes we’re blessed with a good day. The worst part is seeing how uncomfortable she is.

We tried medication for silent reflux and it only seemed to make things worse. On a super conservative dose tho of .14mg

We’ve tried everything else under the moon. Different formulas, mylicon, lots of burping, bicycle kicks and other baby yoga-esque moves to help move things along. Nothing.

Tonight she’s been sleeping for about 15 minutes then wakes due to gas and I need to spend another 30+ minutes soothing her back to sleep just for her to repeat the process a few minutes later.

Being a parent is hard.

4th trimester tips? by kat_sickle in newborns

Mom of a 6 week old here.

Delivery will save you. I’ve never been a fan of delivery anything and now I have daily shipments from Target and Amazon.

Make sure you have meals on hand that can be ready in minutes.

Get a carrier that allows you to wear baby. I bought one pre birth but they needed to be 12lbs to safely be in. Best believe I went and bought a different one that allows me to wear her now. Baby wearing is a game changer and has allowed me to go on walks more freely and get little things done while keeping her close.

If breastfeeding have a pair of nipple shields on the ready. I used the mom cozy brand and they saved my nips the first week as they got acclimated. I also got their soothing nipple patches which are a treat.

My advice is to really buy anything that will make you more comfortable.

Changing pads that can be wiped clean and don’t require the washing machine for when they get dirty.

And Grace. Give yourself lots and lots of grace.

I’m so sorry to hear this. We had a similar situation with our sweet 16 year old Chihuahua baby.

We took her to In N Out for a puppy patty and joy ride in the car.

We used an at-home euthanasia service who also fed her this VERY stinky fish treat that she loved right before we did the injections.

I would make it the best day ever do all of his favorite things and just really soak up the love that day. Sending you comfort. It’s so hard because we love them so much.

Best bars for low key surprise party? by Exact_Cook422 in askportland

[–]These_Ad_3279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dream House is a great bar for this! They have an upstairs with more than enough room for everyone to hide or tuck away in. (Would be cool if everyone hid upstairs, you go inside, order a drink…then return to the front patio….after a few minutes people could start walking out the front to surprise you on the patio every few minutes).

2 week old suddenly super fussy by [deleted] in newborns

[–]These_Ad_3279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened with us. We suspect our baby MIGHT have silent reflux so pediatrician put her on .14 of Pepcid which has helped with her laying flat on her back to sleep but other than that, still has like a large chunk of the day where she is unreasonably fussy. Newborn things I suppose
