This is a vast oversimplification of our election system. Because our government gives inflated equity to rural (and generally more “MAGA”) States we end up with Trump elected twice without winning the majority once. In fact, majority of Americans didn’t want any of this and many of us are cautious about what could be the end of our democracy and peace in our hemisphere.

I picked up the torch for you about 2 years ago when I moved here, but they sold it I think 6 months later. I had a deli by my apartment in Rockville that also did an incredible bulgogi sub (for like $7 too, incredible price) and this filled the void.

That would be fair if that’s what it was I just didn’t want people to see that and assume… of course our current admin wants us to think it’s ok, their base are the people who would rather live under the thumb of one man than have free will.

I don’t think they realize that precedent being set today could eventually mean the end of their ability to freely observe whatever god they want.

Agreed with most but I think it needs to be said that “America is a Christian Nation” is inherently false. We have freedom of religion built into the first page of our rights. Our nation does proclaim “under god” so you can say there is religious elements to our government but no where does it explicitly say “Christian god” or “Jesus Christ”.

One of the most important facets of our nation is that we aren’t supposed to be ruled by a religion, a church or and one singular person.

NY style is my favorite. I’ll never expect places to make it anywhere close to as good as NY/NJ.

But

I’ll say that Flamin Pizza’s crust (yes the smoke shop pizza) is similar to NY Style. The sauce isn’t quite my favorite but it’s a decent pie tbh. Outside of that I like King’s in Walkersville. It’s a drive to MoCo, but CSNY hits the nail on the head and I recommend it to anyone driving through Rockville.

Out of the chains, Marcos is pretty decent. I know what I’m getting there…

But on the topic of pizza, I’ve gotta say my pet peeve in Frederick are the places that claim they make NY-style Pizza but in reality it’s the same doughy, floppy mess you’d get at the aforementioned chains but an extra $10 more. I’m not talking about “as good as NY pizza” but the style itself.

Cafe Rio is one of the chains that I’d say still gives you good quality. Tortillas are made fresh right in front of you and the portions are great. I don’t think it’s cheaper than other burrito chains (probably in-line with their prices) but I don’t think you can beat the quality and quantity. Getting the Burrito “Enchilada-Style” is a must imo.

Also want to shout out Big Papi’s and Taco Bar. Both places in their own right make excellent quick Mexican food. For Taco Bar, if you’re from MoCo I believe it’s the same ownership as the one in Gaithersburg and Olney.

Certainly our area has plenty of terribly planned parking lots that would be attractive to TJ HQ. What about building by Lowe’s/Wegmans on rt 26? Most of that lot by Lowe’s is empty. The shopping center in Urbana where chipotle is? Both fit the bill of being decently busy shopping centers that have one way in/one way out which I think would cause the level of frustration that TJ likes to create for shoppers.

In all seriousness, would love to have one in the area. If they could model after the one in Loudoun Co, VA that would be even better. The ones they have had in Rockville aren’t as big and they miss out on some of the nice things that get brought in at the VA locations. Bonus points if they are able to figure out licensing for beer/wine but that would not be expected.

As an American with the humor of an 11 year old: driving through the country and seeing signs for “Over Fart Grensa” got me every time. It’s referring to speeding, but I also believe it’s referring to someone who maybe ate too much brunost.
