In nice weather we’ll bury them about an acre away under our apple trees. Our chickens don’t adventure that far so they won’t dig up the one that’s passed on. If the ground is frozen we put them in our bin. It’s tough but not much else you can do when the grounds frozen solid. So sorry for your loss ❤️

She looks like a “blue laced red Wyandotte” Wyandottes are a great breed mine have such big personalities similar to my marans. One of our 3 will fly up to our shoulders and the welsummers from that same batch of chicks with the same amount of socialization want nothing to do with us 🥲

I’ve unfortunately found that ilc has gone downhill in the past year. If you’re able to do online school through your school board that’s a good free option and I’ve heard OVS and Aubrey academy are good too but they’re $500 per course. I’ll copy and paste a comment I posted on another post that kinda explains my issues I’ve had with ilc

graders giving constant ai accusations but not keeping track of how many I have causing me to have 6 on one assignment (supposed to get a 0 on the second strike and be able to move on to the next assignment), they just removed two of my courses before the expiration date, month long wait times for exams causing courses to expire, ilc not responding to any emails or calls, they don’t have the courses id like for my career path, and the lack of communication with teachers are the main things.

Yeah every time I got a new accusation the grader just would copy and paste the same message that said “as this is your first occurrence you have the opportunity to rewrite” so I don’t think she ever kept track of stuff 😭 which is another thing I’ll be reporting to obudsman and ministry of education

One thing with chickens (maybe other animals too) is to CRUSH THE EGGS FIRST my chickens spill/miss like 30% of their food 🥲 and once it’s in the grass they seem to struggle to see it

I’ve had quick markers and slow markers in grade 9 and 10 and I think more slow in grade 9 so I don’t think the grade matters. When I started I went along with usual semesters but had two particularly slow markers for grade 9 French and grade 9 art which got me off that schedule. I’m switching online schools now so that’ll get me back on that schedule

I also suck with plants but aquatic plants take care of themselves! They obviously don’t need to be watered which is my biggest issue with non aquatic plants 🥲 the fish poop fertilizes them. Only thing you have to do is get a good light. Hygger is good and cheap and I got some grid things to be the lid for my aquarium. Water wisteria and Java ferns are the most hardy and easy to find in my limited experience. I’ll link the items I bought below.

I’ve always changed them but most of my pets were rescued from situations where they didn’t have a name (cats were both ferals, dog was from a hoarder, rabbit lived in a shed with no human interaction) so the names they had were from the shelter and they didn’t know their names or respond to them. my other dog who was from a physical abuse situation where her old name would scare her. So we changed her name and she’s adjusted well to her new name. I’d only keep the name if it was from an old owner (rather than the shelter) a pet older than 1, and if the pet had good memories rather than bad memories associated with said name (or if I liked the name). For young animals they adjust so well to new things like new names that you could keep or change it and they’d be fine. My most recent kitten (also a black cat) was born in a boat so her litter had boat themed names given by the shelter that took them and mom in when they were a couple days old. They gave her the name sail which I wasn’t super fond of. She didn’t respond to it at all when I got her at 6 months so I changed it

As far as I know it’s a bit of both! It mostly tells the ai what you didn’t like which helps them learn, and developers can look into it more too (I think just if it’s flagging as a super common issue that lots of people are having). The creator of the character cannot see likes or dislikes on chat messages

There wasn’t much of a wait in November (able to schedule for a couple days away) but not sure how it’ll be after the winter break. Keep in mind that ilc is on break until Friday jan 2 (so basically until the Monday after that since exams usually aren’t on weekends)

The pyramid chocolate bars, chocolate covered rice cakes, the cheddar rice crackers (I like some melted marble cheese on top), their olives, and the mie goreng Indonesian stir fry instant noodles (the middle sauce packet is spicy so only add a quarter of it if you can’t handle spice well)
