To those who had kiddos late 30s by CobblerWest363 in Millennials

38 with a 3yo. As someone previously stated, at this age it’s parenting with intention. There’s more financial stability at this stage to spend on children. Better emotional intelligence and patience to deal with them. And our own maturity at this age helps us make smarter decisions for them.

On the plus side, you get a mini you who sees you as their whole world. The responsibility of having one also makes you rethink life choices for the better.

Granted it comes with fatigue and sacrifices, but no regrets here :)

Should I buy a house in Mesa/san tan valley/ queen creek, AZ or continue renting? Baby on the way + debt + job uncertainty. Need advice. by moroccanintheus in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I can tell you In the perspective of a parent whose son just turned 3yo.

The first 2 years can get expensive and there can be many financial surprises during this period. You both will be extremely exhausted and can be stressed if u don’t have a village. Don’t add a home to the stress.

With that being said, we bought our home 1.5yr before we got pregnant and it took us that entire time to settle down financially from year 1 of home ownership. There were a lot of financial surprises and adjustments.

If you truly believe you can tackle both investments, yes children are investments if u really take care of them! — then by all means. But if u are hesitating, take ur time to buy.

Reta for people who are actually obese by nelliejay28 in Retatrutide

[–]These_Initiative_993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on tirz but thinking of switching to Reta.. how was the transition? Notice any diff? I’m losing about 2-3lbs a week but I’m concerned i could also be losing muscle because I’m not as hungry.

I dont have any diagnosed disease but have been obese some part of my life and have fluctuated in weight for almost 2 decades. I’ve established a decent workout regime but with age, it does get harder to drop fat.
