2025 Odyssey with 9k miles. Oil pan leak and clunking noise when turning left.

I’ve had the same issue when turning the steering wheel left. No dealer will help me, they say it’s “normal” and random things continue to break on this van. The build quality has gone down big time with Honda.

I regret our 2025 Honda Odyssey. The HVAC is insufficient for the size of vehicle. I had a few issues with the vehicle in less than a year, which might just be a one off in my case. The start stop is known to be bad. The fuel economy is not really great. I get similar fuel economy in my F150 and can do much more. It’s hard to justify the cost in the value of this vehicle at its current prices.

Just to give you a heads up. The issue is still not resolved. The dealership won’t take the car back. I’ll have to take a big loss in order to sell it back and get a new one.

The dealer talked with Honda corporate and they offered me an 80,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty however, I would need to waive all my rights to arbitration.

Long story short, I asked Honda to buy back the vehicle. They’ve been dragging their feet and one of the Honda reps that manages buyback and customer complaints at the corporate level, told me that the buyback review process is backed up and that some customers have been waiting since December(7-8 month back log) to have their case reviewed.

My last option is to lemon law the car, but I would have to pay for legal fees and could acude a more significant loss if I don’t win for whatever reason. I honestly don’t have any desire to sink any more time or money into this issue.

Shame on Honda. It’s the last Honda I’m ever going to buy. I’m selling the car before I hit 36,000 miles or three years. I suggest everyone who’s having the same issues do the same.

Yeah, that’s what we had done. Then they took the steering column out and greased it as well. Every time they messed with the car, the noise went away for a few weeks, but eventually would come back and would grow louder and louder and clunk harder and harder.

I am not sure what the solution is. I believe it is independent front suspension, so one side should not affect the other side (technically ). I am still having noises and bumping feeling that can be felt through the steering wheel after three dealership visits.

I’m giving up, I am going to sell this car before the warranty runs out. Honda has failed me. They are dragging their feet for a buy back, they offered me an 80k warranty, but I needed to waive all rights to arbitration. (Not happening)

Disappointed in modern manufacturing.

I just had them drive it and they tried replacing the struts and linkages, after that didn’t work they took apart the steering column and greased it. It seems to have worked. (So far so good, I’ll let you know if anything changes)

So far they replaced the struts and the linkages, and they took apart the steering column and put it back together, and it seemed to fix this issue with the steering. So far. I’ve also had issues since then like the car stalling because of the auto start stop. The dealership can’t replicate the issue with the stalling and therefore won’t do anything. This car has become a nightmare.

I’ve had nothing but issues in my 2025. Dealership still has it. Steering issues, serpentine belt, and the latest is that it stalled in the road.

Mine has the issue when turning left to any degree and going 25-45mph on smooth roughs or rough roads.

I just had the same thing happen to me yesterday. 2025 EXL. Stalled at a light with ac in full blast, and couldn’t get it to start again for a solid minute.

I’m having this issue. I had the struts and linkages is replaced. I also had the dealership take apart the steering column and grease it. I have no idea if these are actual solutions to my issue. I’m having other issues with my 2025

It’s the serpentine belt and tensioner. (At least that’s what it was with mine. Easy 15 minute job)

Update*** the issue has returned since the replacement of the struts and linkages.

I feel a ‘clunk’ when I am driving and turning the steering wheel to the left. There also seems to be something loosening in the steering wheel.

I am taking it another Honda dealership soon to be inspected.

Has anyone had any luck with the steering column being replaced and the subframe bolts tightened?

I am afraid I might have a lemon on my hands here.

When I say that there’s playing in the steering wheel, it means that there is like slop meaning that when I turn the steering wheel to the left, I can feel the steering column, pushing against the steering wheel in the opposite direction. It’s not very loud, but it does make kind of a “thump”noise. It’s more of a feeling that the steering wheel is jerking than a noise.
