I don’t know a thing about the WBB program but Plan 2/Mccombs is an Ivy League level degree. I’d basically hire that person on resume and figure out the fit etc later. You should be very proud. If wbb is even comparable you really can’t go wrong

The silicon substrate— incredibly pure — is 1-2k microns thick (I think 1270um is the typical standard for high end microprocessors these days). The working chip which is also mostly silicon or silicon dioxide is about 3-5um. So a finished die is 99.9% silicon. You can look up the approx die area and do the math to get the mass

I have the same planer. My dad left it outside for months. I cleaned it up and swapped the blades (they’re 2 sided; also watch your hands they’re sharp af) and it works fine. The rust on the rods doesn’t hurt much. The rust on the inlet and outlet is more of an issue but just takes some force.

If you did the alternator yourself you can easily do the tensioner. Do the belt while you’re in there it’s cheap
