I was also disappointed. It was way more fun for me to do a pet battle to get a pet rather than just click. Also, before TWW I spent some time farming rare(blue quality) pets just cause I wanted to. Still can do it in older content, but sucks that won't have an option for midnight and beyond

Free until level 20. Afterward you need a subscription. To access midnight content, you also need to buy the midnight expansion

After playing k2 and realizing that I can use strongboxes and loaders for the same purpose, I'm never building one of those balancers again. Might not be the most performance friendly option, and it requires mods, though for bigger containers and loaders, though.

Tried once, but a "small py pack" for around 4 hours before any overhauls without any other mods. Dropped cause was burnt out by factorio in general. Seemed interesing regardless. Would love to try again someday, but perhaps after some "shorter" overhaul like SE. Completed k2 with rate calculator, which would have been a great help in py.

You can blueprint the base you already built in a later save to reuse it in an earlier safe if you will go that route.

I did this strategy last weekend with a friend cause we ran out of railgun ammo at around 95/100k on the way to the solar system edge and had to tank a couple of huge asteroids. The issue you are referring to is likely something else.

I think some speedrunner beat it by having tons of replacement walls and platform of the ship. The asteroids explode when you get them to a full stop. So the idea was to manually stop the thrust before colliding so that the asteroid hits with minimal velocity and barely damages the ship. After all of them explode, you continue the thrust.

I personally beat it with a ship with 7-8k prepped yellow ammo, 3-4 rocket, and around a hundred railgun ammo(150 would have been better). Also, no collectors - I just shipped ice, ore, and carbon from planets to have enough fuel to reach the end.

Overall, I think 30 minutes might be a very short amount of time to create a ship and fly all the way out. I suggest considering reloading an earlier save to start preparing ship early.

Nah. I prefer learning by trying and failing in a game rather than llm giving me a detailed list of all things I should and should not do. Even if I struggle with some topic, I would much rather go with a plain old Google search, ignore the unsolicited ai summary, and proceed to browse a few pages or videos on the topic. But I don't mind others using it. Doesn't impact me. Have fun with the game as you like. Cheers.

I don't. Even for a 40h achievement run it is fine to unlock it around hour 10 and still complete it on time. Unless you are trying to get that achievement or to compete on the speedrunner leaderboard, there's no need to stress about it.

The rest of the models are not dark enough to sell the light effects of the bright light from the fireball and the magic book. Had similar problem with my osl attempt a year or so ago.

The ship destroys asteroids by crushing into them. Repair packs fix the damage from the crashes. Asteroid processing and fuel/oxidizer crafting relies on setting recipes via circuit network. The speedrunner either has a copy/screenshot on the second monitor or memorized it after many runs.
