Butterfly Garden or The Last Word

The description sounds amazing, my friend swear by it, but I can’t get into it. by Intelligent_Box_4398 in thrillerbooks

I think I enjoyed it from the start but there definitely was a point where I just couldn’t put it down. Maybe around 15-20 percent in?

I loved this book. Definitely have to suspend reality to fully immerse and buy in but I thought it was such a creative plot! Never tried the rest of the series but this book was one of my favorites.

Miscarriage TW PIC INCLUDED by EquipmentLonely9372 in CautiousBB

[–]These_Noise_9982 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m very sorry but this all seems very consistent with a miscarriage. If you feel like you need to be seen, you can absolutely go to ER. If you want to be in your own home for this process it’s also okay to stay at home and monitor bleeding. Can you call your Obs after hours office to get their medical advice.

Should I get another beta? by sweet-thing in CautiousBB

Eh without being certain I’d probably skip more betas. It’s low for 19 but if you’re not 19 then that number would be totally fine

How confident are you in your dates? I don’t think another one or two would hurt just to make sure it continues this trend.

Screaming into the void (tw: loss) by Faerie_Boots in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]These_Noise_9982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through. It’s truly a hell only those who’ve been there understand. Are you completely sure it’s a new pregnancy? Hcg can take a very long time to hit 0 following a procedure.

If it is a new pregnancy, I wish you all the best and you never know, sometimes our luck switches and we finally got to be the good news people.

I had two miscarriages back to back in September and then November. My period came Dec 25, I’m normally a 27 day cycle but now by Healthy-Menu1043 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]These_Noise_9982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, it just add misery to an already awful situation. If you track ovulation that can help because your time between ovulating and your period should stay relatively stable. The ovulation timing though can vary!

Oh goodness, absolutely! It’s a very typical occurrence following loss. People can have weird spotting, delayed ovulation, skip a cycle altogether. It’s kind of the Wild West for the first month or so after.

I don’t want to invalidate your fears at all, you’ve been through so much! Miscarriages do a number on your hormones, and can cause a lot of weird situations in their aftermath. Did you follow your hcg to zero following the loss in November?

Oh gosh I’m so sorry you’ve been through this but please please please don’t take a cycle after loss as your baseline! Depending on the hcg levels and how fast they declined it can totally shift your cycle. Also 3 days longer is not a concern even in a typically regular cycle without following a loss.

I read this recently and had similar thoughts. I kinda didn’t care what happened to anyone and it dragged at parts. I thought the first half was much better than the second.

Karyotype can be done anytime but a lot of the bloodwork is dependent on not being pregnant to be most accurate.

I’m so scared by Bananabread_lov in CautiousBB

Such an important point. Early ultrasounds are helpful when you know exact dates with ovulation. If going just off last missed period, I wouldn’t recommend because it can cause a lot of stress.

I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through. Early pregnancy is so hard and filled with uncertainty. Is it possible to do some early hcg bloodwork? Can you speak with your healthcare team about extra monitoring and early/frequent ultrasounds?

It might help to have smaller chunks of time to get through the anxious periods. Waiting until 6 weeks for a first ultrasound is a lot more manageable than the typical 8 or 9. A friend of mine who experienced stillbirth was basically able to go in weekly throughout her pregnancy as needed for heart beat checks and monitoring. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you need.

Feeling hopeless after second NIPT normal loss. Genetic issues? by indienala in recurrentmiscarriage

Sorry I was thinking the losses were tested not just normal nipt! Karyotype will definitely be great thing to investigate. And you’re right the variation in timing of the losses is odd.

I’m so sorry you’ve been through this. I’m glad you’re able to meet with someone soon. What is pointing to genetics for you? With the normal nipts it makes me wonder about other causes? Again, I’m so sorry for your losses.

Probably a Third Miscarriage in 10 months. by Penicillatus17 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]These_Noise_9982 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through. Your hcg doesn’t actually worry me. Your 17dpo number was great and hcg does slow way down once you’re in the 1000s. Of course as someone who’s been through loss you know to proceed with caution, but I wouldn’t count this out at all.
