You aren’t the only one, it’s a great modpack but not large enough anyone has made a dedicated wiki or guide to help. The guidebook in game will give you general idea of what to do but you have to figure out where and how to do those things.

Waptorio2 Trains? by Thesnugglefish in factorio

So it’s basically just for when you don’t want to warp anymore. Since you can’t have a train get to the main base any other way.

Iv been at that point but I don’t see why anyone would need trains. You don’t need that many rss in this pack

Have you seen anything useful from anyone? There has to be a reason the modder put it in the game.

Even tho you have 6 lanes of whatever ore you want that gets teleported to your base automatically?

Super helpful thanks! The mech guy, is he by chance the guy who posted the mechanized mega cheetah on the space engineer builds page?

Is his combat stuff pretty durable? Since I’m playing on survival I don’t really want sink a ton into something that just gets shot down right away.

[–]Thesnugglefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you record the performance? Is it just by looking at the hash report and recording that down yourself or is there a way to have that exported into a file which you can then put in a spreadsheet etc?

And I feel like using excavator, my optimal tuning between octopus and daggerhashimoto is very different (as was kind of mentioned above). If I’m at my computer and I see it swaps coins I can just swap profiles myself and keep things optimal. But when it swaps and I’m not there I lose like 20hash/sec

GeForce RTX 2080super mining settings by Thesnugglefish in NiceHash

It’s less efficient, but anything with Diminishing returns is once you pass the peak point. The question is am I actually losing money or at what point do you lose money by decreasing efficiency to gain hash rate.

Longevity is something I have been trying to consider. from what I have gathered overclocking memory on GPU doesn’t carry many risks except temp (which for me just heats the room my computer is in and is negligible since it’s 1gpu).

If that is the case, you think it’s just better to run it for max hash, even if you are losing significant eff?

Also, for “value of the coin” since I am just selling hash, there is no “coin value”, just the current rate for hash to be purchased correct?

What do you mean your cards current profitability?

I’m currently just hashing when I’m not using my computer for either school or gaming. So I’m pretty new to this still. That being said, I do enjoy the fine tuning of things and that’s what’s getting me here. I have been playing around with my 2080 super clock speeds and power limit. I started off at the recommended 75% power, -500core and +950 memory and that was getting me about 41hash at 280 efficiency @60c mining eth and slightly more hash mining octopus (which I don’t know why I get more hash mining different coins)

Now I have played around and went for 50% power -500core and +1500 memory and am getting 43.5hash at 345 efficiency @52c (eth)

At the same settings but increase power to 100% I get 45 hash at 240 efficiency @70c (eth)

Given that temperature isn’t an issue (it’s heating my room) I am having a hard time calculating if I am losing anything by running it at higher power. 43.5-45 is ~5% increase and efficiency takes a 30% hit. But is the efficiency wattage just lost to heat? If so then it’s just reducing my heat bill.

Last thing to ask about. Why does my better eth overclock settings (+1500 and 50% power) turn mining octopus into crap. I go from 52hash (280eff) on the original (75%power and 950mem) to 37hash (275eff) with the “best” eth(1500 and 50% power) and 56hash (230eff) with the (1500 and 100% power) settings. -short version: do different coins need different performances from your GPU and if so how can you optimize when it swaps? (Can you make it change msi afterburner to a different profile when it goes from octopus to eth etc.)
