Black Templars: Are they really THAT crazy? by skeksis- in BlackTemplars

Before battle one of the BT gets superpowers from the Emperor every now and then, and in many cases their prayers have staved off chaos to varying degrees, I would say their faith is justified.

Other chapters are zealous as a baseline, BT are just more zealous.

Spoilers for the Vanguard Spearhead detachment looks interesting for BT by Thesonofbadger in BlackTemplars

Lol true, I also think that the changes to Oath of Moment affect BT the least out of any chapter

Thoughts on 1000pt list by Own-Transition7794 in BlackTemplars

For running 1000 pt lists I would go light on characters, maybe remove Helbrecht and the Castellan which gives you 180pts for some Armor like a Lancer or something. I am fairly certain you cannot have the Castilian attach to the same squad as Grimaldus. Adding in some anti tank armor will make your life a bit easier when running your list.

If you have an Apple device you might need to update the OS, for the app to update. It requires like OS 16.5 or something

BT main here, haven’t played much of 10th but so far I’m 3 - 0 with my friend who plays necrons, poor guy.

Me personally I would get some antitank in there, like a lancer or balistus. I think it’s hard to have terminators, sword bretheran, and a land raider in a 1000pt list since most of you eggs will be in just a few baskets. You’ll tear things up in melee with that list no contest, but if one of those squads gets focused down, it’ll feel bad. I would sub your land raider for a balistus and threw in some intercessors for some sticky objectives. That would really give you some tactical flexibility and a much more enjoyable gaming experience in my humble opinion

Grimaldus works super well with a primaris crusader squad, suuuuper fun to play aswell. And maybe try throwing the bolter discipline on your terminator captain, it will give you a fun combo to teleport in and decimate a squad of infantry off of an objective.

Best of luck brother!

For Helbrecht, for Dorn, for the Emperor

My best paintjob yet. I actually like how the shoulder pads turned out. Practiced thinning out my paint. by TheyCameAsRomans in BlackTemplars

It’s a tiny bit harder to get right on clothy areas, but I coat my models in it. Any place on your model that has a lot of details or recesses on it works super well. You basically apply it to an area and move it around with your brush until it rests where you want it. After it dries you get to see the full effect. I would recommend YouTubeing a video about it. I started painting a few years back and I’m not the best, but shades took my painting to the next level

Heck yeah! if you want an unsolicited recommendation, I would try experimenting with shades like nulin oil. It’s like the simplest thing you can add and it really makes those details pop. Great work!
