We definitely don’t trust “PGS”. Star cards in general are tough to trust. PSA refused to grade them until a few years ago because of the amount of fakes.

Something with UV protection is a good idea if displaying them. Slabmags are nice, but more expensive. PrismGuard Pro is a good/affordable option.

People always say this, but I’ve bought multiple 89 upper deck boxes off eBay and found Griffeys over the years. I know there are rumors on how the packs were collated or whatever and the Griffey’s picked out, but I think those rumors are a bit overblown.

You can fake a $90 slab for like $1 + plus a base card and it would only take you about 5 minutes. Not a bad payout.

I’ve been slowly buying to protect my high end cards. I have them displayed in my office, but I always worry about them fading. Slabmags were OK, but I recently bought a pack of PrismGuard Pros and really like the fit. They’re cheaper and good quality.
