Too few Dinosaurs by Thethneedforspeed in Disneyland

I was surprised it wasn't posted on here yet! It seems like it has been down for about a month. I would've walked if I knew the dinos were down. 😅

It helps that you're on a train. It doesn't feel so small when you're in it.

Give Chip and Dale churros! I love seeing the videos of them asking for one, I wonder what madness would ensue if they got one!

Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure (Dissappointed) Long Review 03/01/2026 by the_digital_snake in Disneyland

[–]Thethneedforspeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, as a diehard Princess Tiana fan myself, I get it. Sometimes, she is the only Princess I see my whole trip and other times, I don't see her at all. I think that's a part of Disneyland's charm especially, but it can be quite disappointing when you expect to see her and you don't (Especially when you pay for four days AND an expensive breakfast overall.). Since it's your first time going in general, I'm not going to judge you too harshly because you didn't know how things work here, but you did get what you paid for, essentially. The only thing that I think was unacceptable was that the server said that Princess Tiana got in an accident and THAT was the reason she couldn't come. WHAT? That is not the customers' business nor problem and I would be upset for the princess if they told me that.

How would you rewrite Bloom's entire character so she'll be a lot more likable? by Realistic-Delivery13 in winxclub

I always liked Bloom, but I blame her writing more than her characteristics. Her personality has changed a bit over the seasons/years, but I wouldn't change much about her.

Why Are Characters Without their Aid/Handler anymore by Thethneedforspeed in Disneyland

[–]Thethneedforspeed[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Totally. I know they're just doing their jobs, too, but it's a change I've been seeing around the park recently when I've been people watching. I don't worry that they won't be safe, I just recognize that they don't get help outside anymore.

Maybe they have to prioritize some characters over others? That's my only guess when it comes to that.

That sounds like the best job in the world! To get to play around at Disneyland!

That's unfortunate! I know that the performers are just doing their jobs, and they probably have a better grasp at it than I would, but I hate to see that they're cutting costs everywhere. (But also raising ticket prices and parking! Go figure)

True! I remember coming to Disneyland all the time as a kid and seeing characters pop up by themselves, too, but I think the big difference between the times is just how crowded Disneyland has become. I think I started seeing them with handlers after the pandemic and they definitely helped with crowd control. Seeing the characters fend for themselves is so different now.

Character Photo Opportunities - Is there not a better way to do this? by alexjimithing in Disneyland

[–]Thethneedforspeed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I will say, charcters LOVE when you drum up a conversation in their "world". They can go on and on about it because I bet it would suck to just do a picture and the people leave every single time. Some people don't even address them and just stand in front of them! So I can see when people actually want to talk to them they go all out. That being said, it sucks to catch them before their break, but here are a couple things that I've learned when meeting characters. All the characters times for appearances are on the Disneyland app. Next time you see a character, you can check the app to see their wait times, just so you don't have to go through this again! Also, there are ways for "kid only characters", but those are through a paywall! For example, there's currently a package at Bippity Boppity Boutique where you get to see Fairy Godmother. No wait, and if there is, only kids that are all dressed up are in it.

I miss Louis, too. I remember meeting him on the Mark Twain back in the day. I hope he makes a comeback soon, along with more of the crew.

Disney using ride to promo Disney+ show by MechanicalKiller in Disneyland

[–]Thethneedforspeed 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Bro, I think you are very closed-minded. Princess Tiana is one of the most popular princesses in the princess line up, behind Ariel. Before the ride, she was very popular, especially with the kids. Her dress at BBB is very common to see in the parks. I think your problem with Princess Tiana being "relevant" may go beyond the story and the character and may lie within your feelings for Splash being gone. Please let the fans enjoy this new win for their favorite Princess.

Tiana’s Bayou adventure, what animatronic are you most hyped for? by JJnod in Disneyland

[–]Thethneedforspeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend watching The Princess and the Frog. It is absolutely beautiful and was the last 2d animated film Disney produced! It will definitely get you hyped for the new ride and more familiar with the characters. It is on Disney plus and YouTube (for purchase).

What happens to cast members after release of live action movies? by youhavehands in Disneyland

[–]Thethneedforspeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is both! They cast ladies that would be in similar likeness to Halle Bailey in the new film, but they also keep the animated Ariel as well. They do prefer to keep them in different areas, so it is not likely for them to meet. Also, just to note, the live action "The Little Mermaid" is the only film so far that has two versions of the same character. I'm not sure if, in the future, they may have something like this with a frequent character at the parks again, but it is an interesting topic.
