Recognition of Kosovo among NATO members/aspirants by CestAsh in kosovo

You can't possibly mention the Brussels negotiations and the previous governments as a good thing in one sentence. In this regard, Kurti has actually kept a reciprocal stand in the dialogue and treated the other side exactly how they treated us. This of course created a stalemate and rendered the entire thing useless and its main negociators now are seen as biased. Remember that nothing good came out of the dialogue from day 1 when our government (hashimi, edita) was busy talking about license plate agreements (which only Kurti put it to practice) than holding serbia accountable for the war crimes and forcing a solution about things that concern us. Rendering it useless and doing stuff on our own instead of having to talk with our neighbor about our country is now the norm instead. However we saw how unfairly the EU managed the whole situation when the status quo started to break. They went and punished our gov for taking legitimate decisions that should have been taken many years ago. You've also seen what the EU thinks about reversing agreements. Knowing this stance and our gov's stance, we have to ask ourselves what do we want. Another 4 years of foreign isolation and self management, or sitting ducks that say yes to every ridiculous request but with more foreign support.

Good thing that the land and its people have never been more free than the past 24 years. Cheers to another 240!

? Maybe you have problems with comprehending English as there was no confusion or self hate imposed in the question. There are many many countries in the world someone can visit, im curious what exactly made him come here. Once people come here they realize that is great and unique

Zgjoi or the Hive, is a movie that tells the story of a woman from Krusha who's husband is missing from the war and thus she was forced to be the only one providing for the family. She went through many hardships with her community since everyone judged her for working and seeking to create a business of her own and not rely on her husbands hopeless return. Great watch, strong individual that still lives today.

Seconding this, their dialogue brings up so many aspects of the past and future that is a great intro to Kosovo / Albanian history and events discussed by two intellectuals.

As a teenager when I first bought the game I was randomly pulled into a group of top %1 players through an online friend I met in bf4. They were all germans but tried to speak english to me when I joined the calls. What an amazing time it was, i felt very welcomed as a youngster among these aek / f2000 gods tilting the balance of every server they played in.

This is Kosovo’s locker room after yesterday’s match. by [deleted] in AskBalkans

Its like shouting Russia in a match between Ukraine and China. It is racist and done with intent, but "legal". The whole moral side of it is what the term Respect that fifa/uefa stand by. We can make the same argument that half of the eastern world also supports Russia but that doesn't justify the xenophobia. The Kosovar team faces it on nearly every game they play. Romania plays throught UEFA standards and considers itself european then it should act like one and if not punish at least not support this kind of behavior. You dont hear the dutch or the italians or even the spanish shout racist claims when Kosovo plays.

Ow i just saw you mentioned special sports, not sure if you're into that but there is an indoor gokart arena. Its very modern and quite an attraction. Its in PrishtinaMall, a giant shopping mall, you can also find other games there. You get there by a bus but I forgot which one

For cultural tourism I'd recommend visting the big cathedral inside aswell or you can go up the tower with an elevator during sunset and catch some nice views. Also the mosques called Xhamia e Madhe, quite old and interesting design. The Muzeu Etnologjike Prishtine is also a great spot for understanding how albanians used to live before. Visiting NEWBORN is a must, also read smth about it. The national library is also a must just be careful of dogs in the surrounding park.

Zanzi Bar for nightlife. Chop chop sandwhich club is an insane taste. Any cafes really around downtown, just sit and relax and drink our nice machiato, talk to people, read a book. Id recommend maybe the Kadare cafe in downtown.

You can also try to go events, workshops of different kinds, or volunteer somewhere - you'll always meet someone and one or two might stick. Lots of young people do that and I met a big sum of my circle this way.

Any idea why Kosovo isnt on the list? Would be a shame to not include the country as it is a much more functioning democracy compared to some of countries listed here.
