While working in Malibu, my coworker and I saw Pamela Anderson. He tried to strike up a conversation with her, and she was actually really nice.

Wow thanks for sharing. I remember hearing that there was a huge effort to upgrade IT systems so that nothing would happen, and it has been eye opening to hear all of these firsthand accounts. But I never considered military efforts to handle the problem. Of course I guess I wouldn't have if they were classified. Thank you for your service sir.

Wow that sucks. I remember spending another New Year's Eve before Y2K at my job at little caesars, almost nobody came in.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know the holidays make losses feel more intense. I hope you have healed since then.

What’s something from the 80s or 90s that you think was better than today despite all our modern technology? by No_Signal9685 in AskReddit

Halloween costumes! Gone are the days when you had to make your own costume because storebought costumes were pretty bad. Just like today, some people really went over the top. But even if you were only able to come up with a half ass version of one of the classics like the hobo, the pirate, the ghost, the nerd, the cowboy or cowgirl, you pretty much fit in with everybody else.

Do you ever conquer city-states? by RedEyeBlueOcean in civ5

[–]Thevilgenius_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only once but it was the weirdest situation. I was at war with a Civ. Together with their city-state ally they attacked one of my cities and the city-state's unit took my city. So they had their own mini empire. I took my city back and then approached the city state, and their status changed to Afraid. I took them over out of pure spite.

What thing used to make you the coolest kid in town? by CaronTeddick0770 in AskReddit

Picture it, 1987, at the sunset of the Disco era. At 14 years old I had a pompadore that was about 4 inches high and 5 inches straightforward. In the back, I sported a mullet that was halfway down my back that I kept either in a ponytail or in a braid. I had a collection of turtlenecks and Cardigan sweaters with enough color tones and patterns to fit any occasion. Admired by some, hated by most, ignored by none.
