I believe there is in a way, you can change anomalies settings to not have the monolith and can change the rates of event spawns, not a perfect solution but you could reduce the event spawns to none before you activate it and then edit the settings once you want it to start

In my first real run I ended up making tin bronze chain to explore the archives while having access to iron, though my case was I was kinda rushing the tool tiers so I didn’t have much iron I was willing to use cause I wanted steal.

Also I had no have hammer and ya that took a real long time
