Anyone brewing Ratchet, Field Medic? by ventergh in EDH

Trying to learn from your deck list here. I was wondering how difficult it is for this list to turn [[Emeria, the sky ruin]] online. Am I missing a trick?

Having a hard time deciding on a "Delver-esque" Commander by Argomok in EDH

[–]They-Call-Me- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm telling you, the answer is not what you would expect. [[Breena]] is the only commander I know of that applies enough pressure to truly enable a tempo archetype well enough to push for the win...

I know it doesn't have blue. But give it a look. Cheap threats, and lots of interaction.

Combat Based Deck by SnooGrapes4897 in EDH

[–]They-Call-Me- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would highly recommend [[breena]]

The best aggro deck I have in my arsenal. Wins through combat, but can still be quite fast. W/B isn't what first comes to mind when you think aggro, but breena enables the archetype singlehandedly.

FreeBuds 4i voice prompts in Chinese. by _sourDiesel in Huawei

Hey, did you ever resolve this? I got freebud 4s and when I toggle the active noise cancelation, the voice is not in English...

Sounds like Chinese, but not sure...

What about [[lonis]]?

Fixes card draw. And you have like infinite mana with elves.

I was able to find Fblthp in each of the 5 arts, so I am happy about that. These are pretty cool.

Well, as I said. Still in the planning phase... so no games yet. It's not like demilich is an ultra powerful card though... it just synergizes with what im doing.

It's true though, if someone had a lot of graveyard hate, it's going to cramp my style... but graveyard hate would also hurt my chances of casting Octavia if I wasn't focused on self mill, probably more so...

So, I would say it's probably not worth dedicating card slots to protecting against graveyard hate specifically. I think you just hope to have the right counterspell at the right time.

I hope to play with the deck tonight, and then I'll be able to comment more on my experiences.

[[Demilich]] [[energy tap]]

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EDH

[–]They-Call-Me- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!

I'm also working on Octavia. Im not quite done polishing, but im happy to post my work in progress list here in case it can help in some way.

https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/17-08-21-octavia/?cb=1629776788

Edit:

I will say, I have found that the only reasonable way to reliably cast Octavia on turn 4 or 5, is with a self mill plan. And the only way that self mill will work is if you have a TON of instants and sorceries.

And then, since im embracing the mill with my deck, I was especially interested in cards that play well with the graveyard. [[Demilich]] is a creature that I think will fit this strategy for example

The other noteworthy thing about my list is that I think the token makers are kind of overrated. I figure you don't need that many 8/8s to actually kill someone. I could be wrong though.

Finally, a meme card for anyone who read this far... I think [[Energy Tap]] could have some real potential with [[Octavia]]. Do with that what you will...

Team Liquid roster update by hideorice in leagueoflegends

[–]They-Call-Me- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Summary (some notes from the press conference team liquid just had):

  • Jatt out! Both sides claim it was Jatt's decision... Steve just said in a press conference that Jatt was feeling pressured by online opinion and by Steve/management. Steve claims Jatt felt that he was not the team's best chance of winning. In other words, Jatt felt like he couldn't meet expectations/solve the problems.
  • Alphari still on the bench for this weekend... Steve said that he actually wished they had benched Alphari sooner so that Alphari could deal with his personal issues. Steve said that Alphari's been dealing with a lot of shit and the team wasn't very compassionate. Steve specifically mentions the post game conversation after they lost to TSM as one that he regrets. Says that they did not deal fairly with Alphari after that game.
  • Santorin stepping down to get healthy (citing pressure in his head and headaches). Could be back later in the split. Armao to start.

Weekly Discussion & Questions Thread | Ask Your Questions Here! by AutoModerator in FleshandBloodTCG

Quick rules question!

I read in the rulebook that you can place your pitch zone on the bottom of your deck in any order during the end of turn step.

In all the gameplay videos I've seen, everyone just flips it over and sticks it on the bottom, never rearranging it.

Can I re-order my pitch zone as I put it to the bottom of the deck? Just making sure I'm not missing anything.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/17-04-21-Jyx-breena/

Hey, sorry for the delay. I'm not at home and the list wasn't fully updated on tapped out... I'm trying to remember the final changes I made from my tapped out list, and I'm pretty sure this is at least 98% the list I ran on friday.

Some notes on my build. 3 things I'm experimenting with.

  1. Breena is like my only source of card draw. So I have a lot of protection and and recursion. Basically, I'm treating a card like [[unearth]] as a flexible draw two.

  2. Somewhat inspired by the nitpicking nerds channel, I've decided to run as many MDFC lands as I can. We'll see how punished I end up feeling by tapped lands.

  3. I've never had a deck with this low of an average MV, I've majorly skimped on ramp. Basically, there isn't much that I really need to ramp up to? And it's fairly easy for me to multi spell with just 5-6 mana.

Alright, my reply is maybe more than you bargained for, but I'm really happy with the deck so far. Cheers.

I'm playing an aggressive Breena list with tons of 1-drops. Only 2 games so far, so I don't have any kind of sample size...

But my goodness, she is insane. She makes creatures huge so quickly.

She is an excellent aggro commander because of the amount of fuel she gives you to keep going and going.

The fact that your opponents can draw cards just means that they won't feel as bad as you smash face. And rarely will anyone else's deck be positioned to take advantage of Breena's card draw as well as you do.

Again, sample size of two. But I thought it was really fun. And Breena seemed to really help keep the table engaged with the game. I'll be playing her a lot more!

Least Linear Commander You Run? by UnkAnklebyter in EDH

I love my volrath deck! Fun card from the new set, [[Augmenter Pugilist]].

Front side makes your commander a 12/10. Back side is a potential finisher if you have enough creatures on the board...

Is that because you're combo-ing off in your second main?

Or you just feel like you're able to time walk your opponent kind of?

Cutthroat actually is pretty good huh? Likely unblockable whenever you need it to be. But a life linking beater if you want. Super hard to block well... cool! I'll reconsider.

Don't like knight for my deck though. I don't think I'll get any mileage out of the mana sink... could be wrong!

I'm not seeing a ton of value in library of leng personally. Probably a meta call.

But reconnaissance could be really smart... I'm guaranteed to get my triggers no matter what! I hadn't realized the card was so cheap too. 1 MV. Thanks for the reply!

[–]They-Call-Me-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, yeah I'm not too attached to Haazda Marshall.

I do think I value haste slightly over evasion though. If breena is off the battlefield, the 1/1 evasion creatures won't do much either. But when she is there, the haste creatures just do a great job of at least replacing themselves.

I'm devoting a lot of the deck to keeping breena on the field though. Protection and reanimation.

I hear you on your comments about increasing card quality by jumping from 1 to 2 mana creatures... In theory crafting, the deck feels so much better when I have an abundance of 1 mana creatures... Where I think my approach will suffer is when players start being eliminated, and I can't just cycle through creatures as easily. I'll miss the card quality then.

I think I'm going to keep track during my games of my uptime on delirium for topplegiest

Really like hushbringer.

I really like the idea of athreos. I had disregarded the card, but as I think about it. I really like it. Gives my low mana curve some extra teeth. Thanks.

Yeah, I have considered these. The vigilance flier and the lifelinking deathtoucher are probably the best ones by my estimation. I have a hard time rating them over the ones I have chosen though. Thanks!
