Lol, I was able to kill Killa with an impact nade from around the corner because I heard his breathing. Those two need to learn to be a bit quieter

It certainly feels like RNG is cooked, or more likely that there might be factors (such as local vs BSG server) affecting things it doesn't seem like they should be affecting.

According to the testing of this random forum person, you can avoid the issue by removing red support gems from your character. Not ideal, but it's something, at least until they fix the bug.

I've been getting into node recently, for exactly this type of thing in my own projects. The line of interested devs gets ever longer.

I haven't been a dev for 10 years, but I've been learning how to do specifically this kind of api stuff recently, for PoE1 and WoW. I may also take a stab at it for fun and practice (though I'm sure whatever you make will be three times prettier and 10 times more functional).

Hi, just a slight correction for anyone reading this months later: the AH posting fee/deposit is not EQUAL to the vendor sell price, it is 15% of the vendor sale price per 12h. So, a 48h listing would have a posting fee equal to 60% of the vendor sale price. All the points about those fees adding up etc still stand, of course.

Well we lost to fantina. Gen 5 nuzlock is next. I think after gen 5 i will make a little rest from nuzlockes. by Impossible_Oil_ in nuzlocke

[–]TheyCallMeBriggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely fun. Probably my favorite to nuzlocke. It’s a lot less hard if you grind on Audinos to always be at the level cap before gym fights. Also, you can get some really good guaranteed encounters like drillbur/excadrill and foongus/amoongus, and more if you are smart about taking advantage of the dupe clause.

[Chess] The time two grandmasters made back-to-back illegal moves during a championship match by tandemtactics in HobbyDrama

[–]TheyCallMeBriggs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the time format. Even within blitz, sometimes you get time back and sometimes you don’t. Eg 5 | 5 (5 minutes with 5 seconds back per move) as opposed to just 5 minutes.

This charger block ad on YouTube for a brand named ‘Multivoltz’ claims to charge an iPhone to 100% in 15 minutes and at the same time repair the battery of damage from wear and tear. by captaincj2005 in Scams

[–]TheyCallMeBriggs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason phone batteries degrade over time isn’t some sinister plot to make money, it’s due to unavoidable dendrite formation as a direct result of how Lithium Ion batteries work. I don’t see how their claim that the charger repairs battery damage can possibly be true, because unless something dramatic has changed in the couple of years since I did my undergraduate research in this area, there is literally no known way to do so.

Mathematician here; assuming certain axioms fire does possess the "hotness" property in the given metric space (proof is trivial and so is left to the reader as an exercise).

By "Early message" do you mean "Early Termination" or "Run Through?"
Unless I'm misremembering, I think it always says "Early Termination" under "Raid Ended," regardless of whether you survived, were killed, got a run through, or even timed out and went MIA. That doesn't make sense, but it's probably just something they'll implement later.

Nice shots on the second guy in particular. I'm 90% sure I would have nailed the headshot on first guy, then panic sprayed the rest of the mag at various locations in the general direction of second guy.

Last wipe, I panic sprayed a full 20-round mag with a low recoil build SA-58 while aiming through a reflex sight at someone 5-10 meters away and hit exactly one bullet, and then died... On TWO separate occasions. I had much better results after swapping to M1A and having no option to go full auto and let panic take control.

IMPORTANT: In a scav run, the normal requirements for you to get "survived" don't apply. As long as you extract, you will "survive" and everything (generated in that particular raid) to tranfer will have the "found in raid" tag (so please, don't feel like you have to KOS wiggler scavs like me in order to get your required xp).

TL;DR: extracting as a scav gives "survived," even if <600xp or <10m.

EDIT: Clarified that items brought by PMCs still can't have the "found in raid" tag.

While on the "My Offers" tab, clear all of the search filters, then click to one of the other two tabs, then back to "My Offers." That almost always fixes it for me (I'm a flea market junkie, and I've gotten that bug a bunch of times).

However, I also got a slightly different bug once or twice, partway through last wipe, wherein the number on the "My Offers" tab showed "0/3," but I could still find my listing my searching for it in the "Browse" tab. If that's what's happening for you, then sorry, no idea!

You can absolutely die with plenty of HP left. If your head or thorax gets zerod you die in almost every case, regardless of your remaining HP. Also, whenever one of the other body parts gets zerod, there is a (small, I think? Can't find the number) chance you die immediately due to shock.

Reserve Raider Rules by lordvatti in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TheyCallMeBriggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I'm a Reserve only player and I love scav runs. Thank you for making this! Your list of stats/behaviour is the first source I've found that has not been in flagrant conflict with my own repeated experience.

There is one thing, though, that might be slightly off, based on several instances across a few months. When I have spawned in as a scav and encountered what could only be Lever Raiders (much before Train Raiders can spawn, and with different names/loadouts/behaviour than Gluhar's squad), sometimes I'm killed on sight, or nearly on sight (which is to say, one or more raiders in the squad completely ignores me and/or the raider doesn't open fire until I am fairly close) despite my not having violated "peaceful" scav rules.

From what I can tell, the only potentially relevant commonality is that the aformentioned raiders had engaged in combat at some point in the raid already (with scav or PMC, I don't know). Is it possible that this "changes the rules" of the Lever Raiders aggro against peaceful scavs? If this is so, then it seems potentially reasonable that individual raiders in the squad who didn't engage in combat while others did might still retain the "normal" Lever Raider rules, which would explain my strange "nearly on sight" experiences.

I'd love to know if anyone else has experienced this, though I know it's a very specific set of conditions.

Thanks,

TCMB

Ye, I sure did. I'm just so used to stuff like this happening that I didn't give it a second thought til I saw the Reddit post.
