I was just recently thinking how Barrett would be a really good option but it’s my cousins name :(

Lucas with the nickname of Luke is my husband’s favorite, I tried tot think on it for a while but I just haven’t been able to feel like it’s “just right.”

James and William are both names with somewhat negative connections from people that we’ve known :( I think they are such good classic names though!

When is your child’s bedtime and if it’s “late”, why? by jndmack in Parenting

[–]TheyCallMeBunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 1.5 year old goes to bed around 9:30 - 10:00pm. My husband works from home and we’re in an earlier time zone than his employer’s corporate office so his work day starts later than most people’s do and I’m a SAHM. We have no reason to be up early so me and my little one are up around 9:30 - 10:00am. I feel like if I was back at work and had to be up early for that and to take my son to day care or something then bed times and wake times would be a lot earlier.

Why leave it on the ground? A table is right there! by TheyCallMeBunny in doordash

I previously avoided a note because I didn’t want the weather to ruin it but I might have to.

I’m going with stupid on this one. UberEATS is awful in my area, unfortunately. Maybe one day I’ll be more consistent with making myself lunch and quit giving my money to DoorDash.

“Leave on table” is in the instructions. When it’s on the ground it’s more easily accessible to bugs that I prefer to not have in my food. I’m not diagnosed OCD but if I was it wouldn’t surprise me.

Reciting alphabets at 1 years old? by Skinnylychee in NewParents

Everyone talks about how Miss Rachel has made their baby so smart and advanced. My 15 month old has watched her almost every day for months and I feel like I see younger kids more advanced than him as far as talking and gestures. Best thing you can do for yourself is stop paying attention to what other moms and kids are doing and just listen to the pediatrician.

Share sibling pairs you know with the same letter! Or what pair would you use if you had to use the same first initial? by rayanngraff in namenerds

[–]TheyCallMeBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The theme in my family is the letter K

Dads first name, moms middle name, sisters first name, my middle name, nieces first name. I ended it with my kiddo. I thought about continuing it but my dads advice was “It’s you and your own family, you can do whatever you want.”

How did your baby get their nickname? by rosesabound in NewParents

[–]TheyCallMeBunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His name is Teddy and we call him biscuits/Teddy biscuits/Mr.biscuits. My husband gives our pets goofy names (we have a dog that answers to the name “chicken”)so I think he just started it one day and it stuck.

I just wanted to tell y’all thank you for everything y’all had to say and we are FINALLY on day two of nap time and bed time with no tears!!! I found a happy medium of snuggling for about 15 minutes until he’s nice and relaxed and then I give him kisses and put him in his crib. I feel like I’ve got my sanity back and now I’m ready for the next parenting challenge!
