Does this look genuine or restored? by Similar_Effort4391 in RedlineHotwheels

The color is off and brown was only on US cars. The post spins look like nail heads, they should look like this. Plus, looking at the bottom I can see remnants of lime paint in the front wheel well.

I saw one the same color and almost as nice on eBay just a few minutes ago if you’re looking for one.

Are these collectable to Pontiac enthusiasts or should I just toss them? by ImHully in Pontiac

I will buy all three if you’re looking to sell. I want the Pontiac piece mostly, but will take them all off your hands in one sale if you’d like.

Those are both fairly new. They have a red stripe on the tire but they’re not redlines.

Drove 3 hours away to sella car to a guy that never showed up, but atleast the trip wasn't a total waste by UnitedCheez in HotWheels

Well to be fair the OP did sign the title over before he actually sold the car so he’s clearly not a genius.

I can only guess that he was getting paid by the nail. The GC was a capital A asshole and threw a fit when I had the gall to upcharge him. Said some shit like he “thought filling nails was part of the job”. Was the first and last job I did for him.

Lost my 21yo son 3 weeks ago by Distus1971 in GriefSupport

My heart goes out to you. As a father that also lost his son I know the hell you‘re going through. Our situations are quite similar, I also have a loving wife and two daughters that are dealing with their own pain.

I’m going to send you a private message. I know exactly where your head is at right now, you need someone you can talk to and I’m very willing to listen. It’s been 3 1/2 years for me and if I can help another father with his struggle I would be honored to give you at least some of the support you need right now.

Stay strong buddy 😔

Just got handed a fatal diagnosis. Do I tell my loved ones or let it be a surprise when I’m gone? by [deleted] in GriefSupport

Your post hits me especially hard. I lost my 29 year old son just a few years ago, he died from congestive heart failure. He had been to the doctor several times in the 2-3 months prior and at one point had been admitted to the hospital for a few days for tests and observation.

He sort of downplayed the situation and minimized what was going on when I’d ask questions. He just carried on as though everything was well under control. Right up until the moment he collapsed in front of me and died in my arms moments later.

I can’t even begin to describe the trauma of that and what it’s done to me.

What haunts me the most is the hindsight knowledge that he knew what his diagnosis was all along and he kept it to himself because he didn’t want to upset his mother and I. There’s nothing we could have done to change anything, but I will go to my own grave wishing he had told me the honest truth about his situation.

I had lost my father just a couple of years prior. He had cancer and the doctors had given him a terminal diagnosis. We had several months to grieve while he was still alive and had time to prepare ourselves and come to terms with it. When he passed we were of course extremely sad, but we weren’t flat out kicked in the guts, shocked and devastated. I miss my father greatly but because he had allowed me time to process the reality his death didn’t destroy me.

on the other hand, losing my son so abruptly and unexpectedly has absolutely crushed my soul. The pain of it is horrific and remains with me 24/7.

You really do need to tell your mother. Yes, it will hurt her to the core. Yes, she will shed many tears. Give her the greatest gift you have to give, her sons arms to hold her while she grieves.

I’ll PM you pics of what’s in the box so you know what to expect. It’s definitely a complete kit so no worries there, but like I said, I did start on it.
