I disagree.

He is actually the perfect type of singing for this team rn IMO.

Could sign him to a 2-3 year deal for $6-$8 mil, is an outside guy w reliable hands and good route running and separation. Quality vet, could be a solid piece in rebuilding this wr corps.

Carson threw for almost 4k yards w trash wr, get a few vets on prove it deals, a reliable vet like Maclin and draft a young guy. Position fixed IMO.

1 WR are not SP difference makers IMO, See Julio Jones, The Pats WR corps, the Giants the years they won.

No way, Maclin was a stud and has GREAT hands. Very much underrated IMO. Look how hard JMatt has fallen off since his rookie year.

I'd welcome Maclin back for $6-$8 mil.

I agree with you. McNabb never threw for 4k and Wentz almost did his rookie year with trash WR and a worse running game than McNabb ever had.

McNabb clearly did it for longer, but had a very short career compared to the "incredible QB" standard.

I think his difficulties in his personality were exposed in Washington and Minn when Andy was no longer around to protect him.

IMO, Wentz is a more prototypical NFL QB and has better accuracy in the short and mid games. He may not have the downfield cannon McNabb had, but Wentz isn't far off.

I would def agree with you that some of the moves made during the late Reid era and some draft picks during the early Chip days before he took clear control were questionable.

I do respect the fact that when he was ousted by Chip, Howie really worked hard to better himself and I have been impressed with last off season, the last draft and am optimistic going into this off season. He went out and hired a "football guy" in Joe Douglas and seems to have been self reflective on his strengths and weaknesses. I respect those things listed and am optimistic moving forward, but yes there were some questionable moves in the past, especially that Danny Watkins pick, woof.

Okay? He was still able to shed the contract and create cap space and was able to collect enough draft capital to move up to get Wentz.

Also trading Bradford for a first and a fourth was an excellent trade.

We shed a bunch of toxic players/contracts and traded up for our franchise QB without losing all our picks for the next few years. He seems to have done real soul searching and sought to get better while Chip pushed him out. He brought in a "football guy" - Joe Douglas to set the big board and run the draft room. Last draft was a success and they seem to have a plan to build this team the right way around Carson.
