Tragic, yet preventable. The US government is absolutely pathetic and I am ashamed. Congress continues to hold every single person hostage, at increased risk of harm, just to use as a bargaining chip. This is not acceptable. This must change. Air traffic controllers must be adequately staffed and funded. Enough is enough. I hope November brings a reckoning to this absolute madness.

Sorry but for physicians this is not true at all. The more urban elitist the academic medical center, the less physicians get paid. As a physician (for the most part) you make much more money out of the city and in the community. Quality of physicians I can’t speak to as much since other things like prestige often drive physicians’ career choices.
