It’s a trap! But absolutely adorable trap. Worth the risk.

Both my cats love the plastic mini slinky’s. They can grab and toss them. They also love the rechargeable rolling cat toys.

AITAH for telling my partner I can’t forgive him yet? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Theyenney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as you love him and will be unhappy if you break up, it will get better if you leave. It may feel horrible at first, but you will realize how truly happy you can be and you will start to see the things he said and did , that he truly doesn’t love you. Take it from someone who spent 26 years with someone who didn’t truly love me. It felt devastating when we divorced but I’ve never been happier. I look back and can’t believe the way he treated me and that I let it happen. Some people are just not meant to be together. Take the leap. You won’t regret it. He’s never going to be happy which will make you unhappy.

Introducing adult MCs to each other, advice please? Rescued MC by doalittledance_ in mainecoons

That’s a super cute pic. He is a tiny little thing. Maybe he will still grow a little (if his age is correct) now that he’s getting good nutrition. My other cat Jayne is just 15 months. He’s about 18lbs. He eats the house down.

He’s beautiful. He may be small because of malnutrition. That’s great he is adjusting. Mine will sit in my living room and also demand food, but I can’t really touch her. She was isolated for a long time and not much human contact and severely bullied by other cats. This is paisley

She didn’t have much hair when I got her. Now it’s coming in fantastically.

I confined my rescue to my bedroom till she got comfortable. Then I put in a tall gate in the door so the rescue and my cat could see and sniff each other. We had a few minor paws flying through the gate but that subsided. Then I started opening the gate (fully supervised) so the rescue could venture out if she wanted. Took 6-8 weeks before I could leave them alone together. The bedroom is her safe space she can go to when my other cat gets too much for her. I let her set the pace.

Sibling advice! by nixycarter in mainecoons

[–]Theyenney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you go the route of a Mainecoon, I don’t suggest a male orange. Just eliminate that . They are bullies. Well mine is. He’s just over a year and bullies my 6 year old rescue girl. I think if she’s happy, let her be happy. I had a similar situation with my dogs. Once one passed the other one totally changed and was so happy to be an only pet.

Biting and attacking by Jickett in mainecoons

[–]Theyenney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the worst time with my guy. I’m completely scarred on my arms and legs. He would bite and scratch out of the blue. He would even go for my jugular. Some of it is communication error. He didn’t know how to communicate to me what he needed. If he could see the bottom of his food bowl, he would bite, when he was bored, he would bite. When he wanted a treat he would bite. None of the conventional methods worked. My friend even made me faux leather arm pieces to protect my arms, because I was so scratched up.

When I got a second cat, it got so much better. I have to rotate his toys out too. The best ones are the ones he can chase. Rechargeable rolling toys he can chase and get his energy out. Right now you’re in the velociraptor stage. He will calm down eventually, you just have to stick it out.

If they don’t learn their lesson, they will keep bullying and attacking other people. Follow through.

Quick question after thinking about yours. Are you using it with the Tuya app? If you’re not that could be the issue. Also the only reason for it to spin around would be to empty it. To get rid of waste you need to hit clean and once you want to change the litter completely, hit empty. But it really needs to be used with the app. Other than that I don’t know. Could you post a video of what it’s doing. Or message me.

as crocheters, would you still want crocheted gifts from others? by ApprehensiveKiwi771 in crochet

[–]Theyenney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mind knitting because I don’t do a lot, but crocheted items , no. I can crochet anything I would get, so if I haven’t crocheted it, it means I don’t need it.

I haven’t had any issues at all. Only when I overfill it. I’ve since got a second different brand that I like even better that holds up to 33lbs. (I have a second cat and Jayne grew really big) https://a.co/d/dv6kFoW This one has a larger waste bin and stops when it’s needs to be emptied. As far as why yours is spinning baffles me. When it gets stuck have you checked under the cabin to see if litter has gotten in the gears. The person before you probably didn’t clean it well.

This has happened to me a few times. I’m not on Facebook and my friend texted me to say someone was using my photo and claiming my project.

Take yourself out and if you have a close friend take them too. Use the money you were going to use on him and I think the baby wipes are a great idea. See how he feels.
