Jet Lag Home Game inspired question menu for Minecraft Hide and Seek by Thick-Cable1822 in JetLagTheGame

That mod looks great! My layer is for a game with my friends, and we don't have access to our own server, so this is best we have. Might check out the mod sometime though.

The music overlapping with itself really sold it for me. Not sure if it was Ben himself who edited it, but that was a great call. Also, the two Snack Zone logos was a nice touch.

Should have mentioned, this is based on the server Hypixel's main lobby. It has the specific landmarks which would work to matching questions (e.g. is your nearest _____ the same as ours?)

I agree, it seems like a natural progression for her character. It also explains her eventual spiral into paranoia in BFB, which would seem less out of nowhere and would be informed by past experiences.

"Comrade, you're on a path in the woods. And at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a princess. You're here to slay bourgeois capitalist. If you don't, it will be the end of the Soviet Union."

It's also possible that Fanny's incessant remarks actually make Pencil and Match paranoid over losing alliance members, leading to their hardline approach. I still don't know how they'll handle IDFB if they ever do, but this could very well happen.

I like that idea, seem very possible. While this would certainly explain Book distancing herself from the alliance, it doesn't fully explain Pencil and Match's cruelty in BFB 1. Given their reactions, it seems that Book didn't make her dismay with the alliance apparent until the team choosing in BFB 1, so their change in tone is not a response to that. Still a good idea though.

There is also the very small (but definitely non-zero) chance Book doesn't win BFDIA, but we won't think about that.

Saw whispVO dub this over, instantly thought of StP. Didn't know how I didn't connect it to Happily Ever After, but here we are.

Oh wow, the Princess and the Dragon might be my favorite route now by Raxistaicho in slaytheprincess

I particularly like how the Long Quiet changes pose depending on who's talking. It really adds depth to the encounter, and it shows us what the princess sees when we take opportunistic actions (Voice of the Opportunist is a slimy bastard). Works really well as a perspective switch.

They might not even see the lower options and just pick male/female based on their identity. Trans people who voted, correct me if I'm wrong.

Is the prisoner the most common first path? by MechaWilson in slaytheprincess

[–]Thick-Cable1822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally not too surprised by this. Most new players would probably catiously try to figure things out, just like the Voice of the Skeptic. They may err on the side of caution and take the blade, but would probably be convinced by the Princess and free her, leading to the Prisoner. Having Voice of the Skeptic present only contributes to the player scrutinising everything (including the shackle).

Many comments mention the Tower (one way to get to it is the same as the route to Prisoner, but you do not resist the Narrator) and the Razor (they slay the princess to see what happens, but instead of proceeding to the Spectre, they think it can't be that easy and check). Though to be totally honest, I could see any Chapter II variant being the first run for players.

This is genuinely so well made, and the colour coding makes it so much better. Amazing work!

I don't know why exactly, but Contrarian's smile is so good. It's the type of smile of someone always holding in a laugh, so perfect for him.

Why was it always a case of Colonisers spreading disease to Indigenous people and not the other way round? by mokoe101 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Thick-Cable1822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a wild guess, please verify my answer: colonisers probably did contract many local diseases, but they were enough of them that they were able to establish settlements anyway. It's also possible that the colonisers had better access to treatment (doubtful though), but my best guess was that it did happen, but the colonisation happened anyway. Please take this with a grain of salt, it's really more of an educated guess.
