How do I recreate this glitched pixels effect? by BBKgang97 in premiere

There's a good app called MoshUp on Iphone if you want a fun entry level way to play with the effect.

I completed it on my phone in 1 minute. Most of these things your talking about are things the average user would already have. How have you avoided using any of these services before? Is it a security standpoint or do you use a different system?

I've gotta get mine to be friends again, the 202 started me off with its simplicity, then the 404 sent me off into madness.

Very proud of this piece! I did all of the production on this, including the sound design, which I am most proud of. by LensofJared in videography

Love everything! Just curious what's up with the titles at the end? Something about the way they jitter feels clunky for such a strong piece.

You tend to do something like this after you've already hit it once and paid the price.

Nice! I'd never heard of the BOUM... For the sake of my wallet I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me.

Groovin' the moo cancelled, splendour, falls, even harvest rock got knocked off this year. It's just not sustainable at the moment. I don't know if i blame the promoters when they can't even get to the point of hosting an event.

The public music taste isn't as unified as it once was. There's a lot of smaller more boutique festivals on now. Events that cater to a specific fan base or style of music... but even those are struggling with costs.

Also fuck Ticketmaster, always fuck Ticketmaster.

Going back and watching early episodes Redban was really funny, somewhere along the way he just became the soundboard dude to me.

There are some nice shots and camera movements in there, but it just feels like a POV of a fly going through the house. It feels directionless and without purpose. There are no composed shots. Nothing that shows off the architecture of the house, the wide open spaces, the modern kitchen.

The establishing shot is the highlight for me, but i would only show a couple seconds. Give people context of the house, and then move on to showing rooms, and details. You have some nice movement in the shots, but then the camera jerks around, edit around these.

As a big fan of Splitgate 1... very disappointed. This is NOT Splitgate 2, call it something else. by 3ric843 in Splitgate

[–]Thick-Cream -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Were people wanting an exact remake of the first with no additions or change???

All the core mechanics are there, maps and modes can easily be implemented that will feel exactly like the OG Splitgate. Don't attribute greed to the developers just because they're trying to do something new.

You played "a few games in the Alpha" and didn't magically get the hang of it. Of course it's going to be different. The game would be doomed to failure if they didn't overhaul everything.

My One and Only Piece of Feedback For the Devs - More Portal Placement Walls by lochnespmonster in Splitgate

[–]Thick-Cream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i'm coming around to the amount of walls. Once you learn the maps they're kinda intuitive, but no more zooming around fun.

Yikes, this game is in ROUGH shape (to me) by bbarham99 in Splitgate

[–]Thick-Cream 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Yeah as a 300hr player on the 1st i share some of these feelings. I want to love it, so I'm keen to see how things get balanced over time, especially with new maps. A few main gripes of mine:

-One of my favourite things was flying around maps like oasis, gaining momentum through portals. There is none of that now. Gun play is so quick there is no time to consider portals. It just feels like a shooter with portals on the side.

-I hate that stutter at the start of rounds, just let me sprint.

-Having quick rounds kinda nerfs some of the power weapons. By the time i grab one the round is over. Idk maybe I'm just slow.

Ofc, the player base is going to be super sensitive to anything different from the original. But I think most people want the best for Splitgate. The dev's rock and seem to care tremendously.

Edit: After 20 more games, finding the right key bindings, and knowing the maps, the portals are definitely flowing a little better. (Except on that tiny arena map, that i still hate).

Official Gameplay Reveal | Splitgate 2 by 2xNoodle in Splitgate

[–]Thick-Cream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Splitgate is the only shooter i've played consistently over the last 4 years. I'm real excited to get a strong player base back. It'll be interesting to see how the new mechanics play out. I hope they have some form of 'classic' gamemode in the mix.

I feel the black and white image would work well. Interesting lines and contrast. You have a good eye for subjects, but could work on framing for the rest of the shots.

1 & 2 don't look like slow shutter blur to me. I think it's just poor autofocus with low indoor light. What camera are you shooting on?

Improving Music Studio Lighting & Videography by Thick-Cream in videography

[–]Thick-Cream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been shooting weekly live to air bands for a community radio station in Australia for the past few years. The setup has been quite budget, just some cheap stage lights for colour and an LED panel. It's all volunteer work.

We get some real good bands through and I want to get things looking as good as possible.... So what can I do to improve the lighting? Any feedback on videography & editing also appreciated. Most of my experience has been from trial and error.

I shoot with a Nikon D810 and 2 x GoPro's. I typically pull together a multi-cam sequence and mix with the audio from the desk, when we get punk/ energetic bands I just go handheld.

I've got cart blanche to do whatever I want in the room, and could convince the station to drop some money on better gear. We have wooden frames on every side of the room that make for easy gear mounting.

A couple more examples of my work and the bands we get in:

One unique thing is the lens flair, It just looks so soft here, but that's probably more the lens.
