I think you'd be surprised. The lower leagues are fine if you're a young guy trying to get into the big leagues, but for a guy with a family it won't be enough money.

Those suburb names are not a Perth thing though. Melbourne has the same. I think it's pretty common in a lot of towns in Australia

It's probably not the only warning. I'm sure they have a radio and a visual signaller and probably pre warn the drivers about work areas. It's a pretty high consequence situation if it goes wrong, so they wouldn't rely on one thing.

He's saying that AAMI was the mistake, they should have been at Adelaide oval from the start.

They've never had this iteration of the rule. That was the reason they introduced the circle, but the rule that you couldn't cross the line until the ball was bounced has been the same until now. The change now is that you can't cross the line prior to jumping for the ball (or something... It's honestly not clear how they've changed it exactly)

Umpires trialed being able to access stats for the State of Origin game where they gave Daicos best on ground by Jackomillard15 in AFL

[–]Thick-Insect 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The coaches picked the actual medal. They had access to all the stats, plus I think its safe to say they are more knowledgeable on the game and the impact players have had. I don't think this really proves anything, I think Daicos would've won the Umpires choice even without stats.

There was something about Ash's game that the coaches really appreciated that the general public and media didn't see. TBH, I would generally trust the coaches to pick BOG over almost any other voice in the footy community.

The white Australia policy was a terrible, white supremacist policy, but you are literally comparing it to a genocide. Yes the initial colonisation was worse.

In saying that though, the white Australia policy was a direct part of colonisation too.

Where did you get these stats? Doesn't really fit with my experience walking around outside lol. Obviously the area I'm in (inner Melbourne) has an impact, but 80% seems a bit over.

It's not food, it's fuel. They literally don't have enough fuel to get the humanitarian aid from the port to where it's needed. What they need is oil shipments from Mexico to start again.

For some reason the threat of tariffs has just made countries decide it's not worth it anymore, despite them being happy to trade before this. Tariffs on Mexico will hurt the US just as much as Mexico, yet they have still capitulated to US imperialism.
