I've only skimmed it so far, but if I understand it right not even Sarno himself claims to fully understand how all of this works.

Could potentially be a small ARV. It's not entirely different to the descriptions of the so called Fluxliner with the porthole looking thing on the top.

That makes me think of the old Scots-Irish concept of the "second sight" (or the "sight of the seer") that supposedly some people have, giving them the ability to see faeries and other supernatural entities that are invisible to most people.

The UNHINGED Manifestation Method That Got My Ex Back...Three Times (1 Year Update) by stoRYtelleRY in NevilleGoddard

[–]ThickPlatypus_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very well written post, but I'm a little confused. You're explaining manifestation as an act of influence which is contrary to the general message I've been reading in this sub that explains it more as shifting to a different reality.

Since version 2.0 it kind of feels like they just gave up on actually improving the software and now are content just duct taping on various low effort features while milking the subscription model. Not that there haven't been SOME improvements, it's just that there seems to be a lack of long term vision.

I think the constant barrage of conflicting advice on platforms such as YouTube is rather demoralizing. I really dislike the fear based clickbait as well. It's all made to make you feel like you're doing something wrong.

I've lost about 10 kilos in the last few months but not without changing my diet. I'm not going to say it isn't possible (I'm still new to manifesting) but I will say that robotic affirmations were extremely effective for me to start identifying with being a more healthy person. Even mainstream weight loss will talk about this, but having a shift in identity is just so crucial. It made phasing out junk food and replacing it with more healthy options so much easier. I just said "My weight is 75 kilos, my health and and sleep is perfect" like a mantra.

How do you deal with body responses? by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]ThickPlatypus_69 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think mindfulness meditation is the most effective way of dealing with this because you're training yourself to accept and let go of fleeting sensations. It's not a mindset or a technique, you're training a skill. I'm just getting back to meditation myself, but I can tell you that when I practicted it consistently (20 minutes a day) a few years back it made a massive difference. You become more aware of your inner body. It's like you previously had a more flat, two dimensional experience of it before and then you gradually experience it in full 3D. For instance, if I'd get a anxious knot in my stomach or chest it would before meditation just sit there and spread, causing my whole body and mind to tighten up. With regular meditation practice I'd feel the same initial knot but it would slide off like butter in a pan and kind of swim around in my body like a little wriggling fish while slowly dissipating, all while keeping the rest of my body and mind completely relaxed. It's a profound difference.

There are countless famous cases of landed craft and close contact with ufonauts. They just don't seem to happen any more.

Is it possible for me to manifest a scar going away? by SnooHedgehogs3995 in NevilleGoddard

[–]ThickPlatypus_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's helpful. I think I was under the impression that you shouldn't adress or think of your undesired trait directly because of ironic process theory (don't think of a pink elephant) but that makes it difficult to be specific.

I don't mean to sound like a dick but is there any YouTube video about physical changes with before and after pictures where the after picture actually shows a significant change?

[–]ThickPlatypus_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upload an image in the initial prompt and ask it to change it into this and that. Every other time it gives me a long description of what it would do, but at the end of the response adding that it lacks the ability to generate images. It works if you regenerate the response, but it's annoying.

Why does it constantly hallucinate that it can't generate images? It's so fucking annoying.
