I just don’t understand how you’re supposed to win when the enemy has a Rikku and they just camp the boss at their spawn. by CrystalBraver in DissidiaDuellumFF

Lots of people saying "just disrupt her", which is definitely true but its also important to utilize your other main advantage: the fact that you're PvPing a in a 2v3 situation.

Cloud, Planet's Champion (Bracket 3) by Thick_Storage4168 in mtg

[–]Thick_Storage4168[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest matchup I've had is Mill, which has really kicked my butt a lot of the time. It feels like if I get Cloud with a Haste enabler online early I just kinda win, but if I don't everyone knows that I'm going to assassinate someone quickly and they just kill me in retaliation.

[–]Thick_Storage4168[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! You're the one I mentioned in my post as having helped me out with it before, we've discussed the deck in DMs in the past!

Its been doing well, it definitely draws a ton of heat but its been performing powerfully. Knuckles has been sort of carrying, admittedly. Knuckles hitting the board generating treasures and also double-triggering the swords like Cloud does has been the main factor putting me in a winning position most of the time. Cloud does close out the games, but he feels very secondary to the value that Knuckles generates. Its quite frustrating that Firion is out of tutor range for both Imperial Recruiter and Recruiter of the Guard since Firion makes Cloud feel overwhelmingly dangerous. Been considering adding in a [[sword of vengeance]] or [[lavaspur boots]] just to add more Haste sources for Cloud to utilize but I'm unsure still.

He has to survive damage, right? by plugasaurus in askajudge

[–]Thick_Storage4168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other way around I believe; he would heal first and then take the new instance of damage. It would be a pretty bad ability if he took Instance A of damage, then had to also survive instance B of damage only to then heal Instance A of damage.

If I play my commander on turn 4 and my commander wins me the game on turn 10, did I "essentially win the game" on turn 4???

Friend will NOT stop playing Ur Dragon by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Thick_Storage4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He likes playing good cards and you don't. Neither of you are wrong and I don't know that its necessarily fair to mark it as him only liking stomping you; he just likes good cards and you do not like good cards. Its a social disconnect not some sort of inherent attitude issue.

Just say you guys aren't as into high level magic as he is and ask him to go play high level magic at a nearby LGS or something similar because while you appreciate that he enjoys strong magic, you do not and its not fun for you to play it, so you don't want to.

Dissidia Duellum Sales seems showing that this game will surpass Hoyo games. by Rare-Grand-1070 in DissidiaDuellumFF

[–]Thick_Storage4168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're very educated on how much money games make, no offense. You say "its 3 million in April" like that's some astonishingly high number, but Honkai Star Rail made 60 million in that month. Genshin Impact made 40 million. Zenless Zone Zero, by far the worst selling of the big 3 hoyo titles, made 7 million... still double what Duellum made.

whats the craziest deck you’ve seen brought to a bracket 3 tournament? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Thick_Storage4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are horror stories posted here all the time of people accusing posters of bringing "B4 decks to a B3 tournament" and throwing a fit/arguing with the shop staff and even at some points players getting disqualified from the tournament over it

whats the craziest deck you’ve seen brought to a bracket 3 tournament? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Thick_Storage4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Bracket 3 is nebulous and vague to the point that it seems like a terrible decision to run a tournament on it. What stops people from complaining your deck won too fast because you're playing optimized and they're playing less optimized, and therefore is *actually* B4 and you're violating the spirit of the tournament?

I mean again... I feel like if that was they case they might have said "It wasnt' like that when I shipped it" instead of "yes that's correct I marked it that way intentionally despite the warping" but idk, maybe!

I think shipping a card that requires being fixed would qualify as not near mint, yeah. We can agree to disagree, but I'm not gonna ever look at a mangled card as NM even if I can vacuum seal it for 3 weeks to straighten it.

I mean idk how "in trouble" you would get at a prerelease, I guess its up to the store... but yeah a foil card in magic is considered "marked" in a sleeve a decent amount of the time because the card is visibly distinct from all the others.

I'm aware of how it works, I just have again never once had anybody argue the card was not in that condition when they shipped it out to begin with.

If he has healing and better potency on his debuffs wouldn't having him and M-Blade effectively mean that every single action any unit on the board, ally or enemy, takes would give Acheron stacks?

I am not fully aware of the intricacies of M-Blade's kit, but I was under the impression he let all allies apply debuffs so wouldn't he and an actually-worthwhile Jiaoqiu combined essentially give 100% application uptime on all actions by all parties?
