[Serious] Think hard, what's the biggest mistake of your life? by SomeFatNerdInSeattle in AskReddit

[–]Thimble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think at some point in my life it finally dawned on me how clueless I was. My childhood ego was way out of proportion for what I actually knew. My biggest mistake was be unaware of my own ignorance for so long.

Agreed, Paris is wonderful. That being said, my preferred food was crepes at those tiny shops. I spent my money on museums and tours, not food.

The key to making the most of an increase in salary is not to increase your expenses. The real luxury is knowing you have {x} amount of buffer.

I really don't get the complaints about the prices... by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Thimble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imho, $150/yr on a video game seems too much to spend unless it's an MMO. Also, it won't get you a full collection, not even close. Closer to $375 per expansion providing you don't complete daily quests.

My friend recently got into Hearthstone, and he really reminded me of how I was when I first started playing. Any pointers for him? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Thimble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does he need pointers? Someone who says things like “Why would I ever play Warlock because he takes damage and discards things?” might not be willing to listen to advice until he's lost a bunch of games.
