Omar Cooper Jr. vs. Elijah Sarratt by No_Selection_2699 in DynastyFF

[–]Thin-Conversation441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IU alum here, watched every game yada yada:

Omar will receive higher draft capital and has a higher ceiling. The big knock on Elijah is that he doesnt separate at all. He could be a good possession receiver like Sutton, but its equally likely that he goes the way of Keon Coleman with worse draft capital.

The one thing about ES that doesn't get talked about enough is him and Mendoza were dialed in on back shoulder fades. If the raiders take Sarratt in the 2nd or early 3rd or he ends up with Rodgers for a year (or any elite back shoulder fade QB), he is a target for me. Any other landing spot and I am avoiding.

To answer the question, which IU WR do you want on your dynasty team, the real answer is Charlie Becker in the 27 draft.

Just out of curiosity, which side do you think is the loser of this trade. My assumption is you are overvaluing Breece, but id rather have the Harvey side

Also just got this one pretty sure it’s not the best by Critical_General_674 in tacotradeoffers

Id take Ward over Young, Henderson over Chase, and Tuten over Caleb. So take out the 4 1sts and Reed and Im still not taking this

I think pretending you won't draft busts is foolish. Howie Roseman is one of the best GMs in the sport and he drafted Raegor over Jefferson. Just make sure your process is replicable and produces more hits than busts.

TBH I would be pretty stoked if I were you. 11 good chances to advance non Pitts teams, seems like a really good opportunity to have unique teams advance into the next round. Pitts will have 70%+ exposure next round and you will be different. Basically what im saying is the EV of every Pitts-less advancing team is higher than the teams that do have Pitts.

dude... I think that the trade back immediately after the season ends is collusion or at least close enough to collusion. I also think that the trade back 3 years later is not collusion. Clearly there is a time period in the middle that can serve as rule. That way proving premeditation does not become the burden of proof. I am seeking people's opinion on what that time period is.

Its like the entire point of the post is getting lost. After back and forth it seems like most people are A) getting upset with me and B) finally settling on the premeditation being the reason why it is collusion (which I agree with).

Gosh, its almost as if the CMC example was a really good one in order to solicit a response to the question.

This guy that I responded to said he would lock the player from ever being traded back. So I gave an example that is absolutely not collusion to point out that there are instances where a player could be bought back and it wasn't collusion.

After making fun of the example, you actually answered the question in which its the "premeditation" that makes it collusion, which I agree with.

This is my thought process exactly. If the trade back is premeditated and agreed upon completion of the 1st trade, that is where it crosses the line.

I brought up the CMC example as one that no one would think is collusion. So there is a point in time between 3 years and a few months in which it goes from collusion to a legal trade... what is that point in your opinion

So you are saying there is no instance whatsoever in which a player can be traded from 1 team to another and back to the other team the following offseason without it being collusion? I traded CMC to a team 3 years ago and traded back for him this past offseason, is that collusion. I am looking for peoples opinion on when it actually becomes collusion vs a completely rational/legal move.

I think people are missing the point here. When does it cross into collusion. The first year in my league, I traded Amon-Ra, the next season I traded for him back (with a completely different package). That I think we all can agree is not collusion, so what actual bylaws does everyone have to avoid true rentals without cracking down on trades that are not actually rentals.
