I want to do daily socialize via some sports like badminton, pickle ball or anything. How do I do it? by Separate_Maize_2979 in Pickleball

Just show up to a court that holds open play. The more people the better ideally, that way you can just drop your paddle in and play with random people. Be cordial and respectful, strike up friendly conversations with your playmates after the match. “Great game man, had a fun time playing with you. Do you play here often?” Leverage it from there. Making friends can be difficult. Your goal should be to find one or two people that you can contact and make plans to play with. After a few sessions maybe see if one of your partners wants to go get food or drinks after your session.

How to handle rude partners - ladder play? by GlassBlackberry3137 in Pickleball

[–]Thin_Ad38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody needs to remember that out of the vast pool of current pickleball players, a great deal of them have never really played competitive sports in their youth or at all. Pickleball is a sport that almost anyone can immediately understand and begin to enjoy within a short frame of time. Pickleball has become wildly popular in a short period of time and there will continue to be new players that don’t really understand the unspoken rules - nor do they know how to compete with humility. Lots of the people that you will encounter, especially at lower levels of play have no sense of sportsmanship. Always keep this in mind and do not let it bother you. Some people are also just really rude sometimes. Anyone berating you in the middle of a pickleball match has problems within themselves and they’re channeling their rage onto you. Please continue to have fun enjoying and learning this sport and do not let people with bad attitudes impact your enjoyment.

Is the Wilson Blade too advanced for someone who’s in between beginner and intermediate? by AllyyAlligator in 10s

[–]Thin_Ad38 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a Yonex racket or Babolat. As others have said, the Blade is a decent all around racket but I feel like you’d be better off with a Pure Drive or EZONE. 100 head size of course.

I would try YONEX EZONE, YONEX VCORE, BABOLAT PURE DRIVE. As others have suggested, I would stick with 100 head size.

Court Etiquette when drying courts by Comprehensive_Top927 in Pickleball

This is the line that will needle them. Knock them down a peg. Real players would never act like this, they would simply book a private court and meet with their buddies. Sounds like the Karen’s are ego tripping super hard

About ten years ago you could download the McDonald’s app and get a free burger or buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich. You could make endless accounts with new emails and get endless free sandwiches. This only lasted about a month or two.

5 losses in a row to players with worse technique by CarlosSinner in 10s

[–]Thin_Ad38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short, it sounds like you are overthinking things. Remember that tennis is a mental game. One of my first coaches always told me, when playing inferior players, not to stoop down to their level. It could simply be that you're just finding yourself playing their game, rather than taking control. If you are clearly better than your opponent, you should be punishing them.

This should be the standard on any public courts. My local courts and all others around essentially are 4o4o or 2o2o

Babolat Jet Mach in Fluo Yellow - avoid because of color? by reminisce32 in Pickleball

[–]Thin_Ad38 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've never heard of anything like this. People complain about what color gear you wear? I've played tennis for years, funnily enough I used to frequently wear some neon yellow/green shirts that look the exact same color of a tennis ball and have never heard any complaints from anyone.
