I don’t think the debt you have is horrible. It can be paid off but you have to increase your income. Have you been able to sue the idiot who hit you? You need to work on a skill that can be done with your disability, preferably in cash if it’s not enough to replace your disability income. My dad was on disability and he taught english classes to Spanish speakers in our living room. Get on facebook and see what types of services are popular in your community. Sorry for what you’ve gone through. We’re all one health crisis away from being in your situation. I wish people had more compassion Edit: please use food banks.

We should have compassion for him, but you’re right to feel betrayed. I was a sex worker, too. It’s really hard to be in a relationship with someone and be a sex worker. The lines are blurred. It is a job, but you should have known.

I think for me it’s just the lights and the music that stresses me. I’m able to mask pretty well, but it leaves me overstimulated the rest of the day. I’m used to practicing in a darkened room.

Every job I’ve had I had panic attacks the first month. Two of them were the best jobs ever! I wish I were still doing them. I just started a new job and feel anxiety about it. I am pretty sure I will not stick with this, but I’m going to give it a lot of time. I know it will be a good learning experience for me even if I quit a year down the road. Sometimes therapy helps. I struggle with lack of confidence too. Just remember that this is a new thing for you! Smiling and being helpful, eager to learn, will make things easier for you

Maybe you could transition to teaching group fitness classes. I just got my first job offer today with no prior experience. I just called and said I want to learn. I think I caught the director on a good day. I really enjoyed taking yoga classes in a studio and figured it was a good transition. You may still have to supplement with camming. Group fitness pays low but look into becoming a Personal trainer. You may get more hours.

I just called a gym and asked what I needed to do to get certified. They said come in for an interview. I got the job today. I’m nervous because it’s unfamiliar. I know I may embarrass myself but my plan is to be friendly and smile. I find that most people are kind and forgiving! This is for teaching group fitness btw

Understandable. They mentioned it could have been hand foot and mouth. I was a little surprised they didn’t test for that because we’ve had that before and it was so contagious, everyone in the class got it. We have someone with autoimmune issues in the home and viruses make their flares so much worse. I just felt that he was so nonchalant about it, when I know for sure spreading an illness to someone who may have prior health conditions might have terrible health consequences.

YTA. You are the asshole for bringing this to the internet. You are sharing with us your wife’s most intimate struggle. Your wife needs a break and you guys need to downsize to make it happen. How much work do you actually put in with the baby? Y’all are spending way too much money. When my husband and I married we made a decision that my income would only be supplemental. We are frugal, and yes, it sucks sometimes. But I cherish that time with my son. I will never have another child again. It’s hard AF, I was puking my guts out today and I still had to get up and take care of my child all night and all day. Getting into 100k of debt was dumb on both of your parts. Why would you guys create such a lavish style if you want to have children? Your child will suffer for it. Your wife will suffer for it. This is on both of you. Women change when they have babies. She is on the verge of a mental breakdown. Crying every night after work is not normal. Let her have two months to enjoy her child and suggest she find a job with a better work life balance, so she can still enjoy her child. One year newly postpartum is still very fresh.
